Are these easy to use?

Do you need a "tub" to pee into or does it come with one?

Wanting to give ourselves the best change and thinking these will help

Only on cycle 2 but disheartened already.

Any other tips or which to buy on amazon

I use these and they work perfectly well for me. They don't come with any sort of pot but I bought a small clear jug for that purpose, it's so much easier to dip the test in a sample and you get a more accurate result :)

Thank you. We told ourselves we would just see what happened but found myself so disheartened this morning when AF came that I want to give ourselves the best chance.

Did you get from amazon?

I think everyone starts like that, I thought for sure it would happen straight away with my son but it took 6 months and every month was hard..

I get mine from eBay think you can get 30 for around £4 but sure you can get them on Amazon too 😊

Reply didn't send!

Did you find these helped/worked? I'm hoping they are easy to use. I'm using Flo and Clue apps

Use the clear blue ones too for the smiley face when you think you're about to ovulate! :)

Very easy to use! Just dip in the wee for 15-20 seconds and as soon as the test line is as dark or darker then the control line it's positive. Once you see a positive you'll now what to look out for each cycle 😊

I test once a day leading up to ovulation then 2-3 times a day near ovulation to catch my peak!

I just started using these for the first time. I had never achieved pregnancy. We tried for 18 months then in December 2020 I had fertility blood tests via GP, which were all normal.

Then March 2021 found out I was pregnant but miscarried at 7 weeks. At the Early Pregnancy Unit, scans showed an enlarged right ovary and multiple cysts.

Cut to now - I've had fertility blood tests again and my progesterone levels are 49 so should be ovulating fine. I'm waiting for results of day 3 tests. I was referred to gynae recently and I had an internal and external ultrasound this week - and everything looked normal. No cysts, nothing. Everything moved as it should so no suggestion of endometriosis adhesions.

So here I am, trying these for the first time! I'm CD12 now and they are getting darker. I'm hopeful again! Baby dust to you ✨

Hi! If you buy the easy at home ones download the pre mom app it's free and take photos of the tests it gives you a rating of them, I enjoy it.
I also keep them in a book like @lettyloulou

You can also input one step (or any other strip opk) into the pre-mom. This time round I’m on my first cycle actively trying following an early MC of a surprise pregnancy, so I’ve not tried the app for an entire cycle yet, but reckon it will be good to check the OPKs are heading in the right direction.

Really, I think OPKs are only necessary if you have slightly wonky cycles (which I have, so can still be a bit unpredictable, despite being on thyroid meds, which made them lots more regular since when I was first ttc my first). If you’re lucky enough to have regular 28 day cycles you can pretty much predict that you’ll ovulate around CD14. Otherwise it’s a bit trickier! On the cycle I conceived DD2 I actually ovulated on CD25!

Thanks, app not on android due to data issue last year.

I'm using Flo and Clue so will see if I can add into there.

Day 3 of using these one step tests. Expecting AF on 6 or 7 May, app says should ovulate tomorrow 23 April. I'm hoping it's a day later so OH isn't working. How close to AF arriving do people ovulate?

Usually between 12 and 14 days.

JB2021 don't forget, the ovulation tests show your LH surge. Ovulation, i.e. release of the egg, happens between 12 and 24/36 hours after this and the egg doesn't live very long.

So it's pretty important that you DTD just before actual ovulation, i.e. as soon as you get that positive OPK strip. Ideally also in the days before, so that sperm is already hanging out in the fallopian tubes. I think the Sperm Meets Egg Plan (google it, it's a method) suggests having sex the day of the +ve OPK, then the next 2 days, and then miss a day and one more just in case the egg was released a bit late.

And PP was correct, the ideal luteal phase (time between ovulation and start of period) is 12-14 days but can vary. My luteal phase was short at 10 days.

Oh, and you really don't need any special tub to see in! 😂I users random things like the lid of a hairspray bottle, small yogurt pot etc. Of course I washed them out, reused for that cycle and didn't use them for anything else after that!

These are the strips for the last few days. Done them around 5pm, as soon as I finish work. Although I WFH most of the time, I'm not always able to test at same time so 5pm after work is best. Can't see the line getting stronger :(

The clumped up 3 are the oldest, with oldest at the top. The one seperate is todays

Today's one definitely looks darker! I had very similar, faint lines for a few days then a positive.. trouble with OPKs is you ideally need to be testing more then once a day if you're near ovulation if you want to know for certain when your peak was... I had a positive on the Saturday morning and it was still positive on the Sunday afternoon.. and Im sure I ovulated on that Sunday afternoon as I felt it.

I'd start DTD now regularly. Good luck! xxxx

Hi @JB2021 here's a pic of my strips from a random cycle. You can clearly see when the peak is, where the test line is just as dark as the control line.

I think your latest test looks a bit darker....which cycle day are you on?
