Change Folic Acid to Methylfolate (the bioavailable version of folic acid)

The Inessa Advanced Omega 3 is also fantastic and I think the best quality/value on the UK market. Lots of info on this from Rhonda Patrick.

I would take a methylated B complex rather than just B12. The Biocare Nutrisorb one is fantastic.

A high potency sublingual Vitamin D3+K2 4000iu minimum. You can also get ii outside for about an hour at solar noon now and will get better as season goes on!
If you've been outside a lot vitamin D is best taken in the evening. If not, then doesn't matter.

I would take out Evening Primrose Oil, unless you're taking it for a specific reason, because of the high omega 6 content, but it's too hard to say as I don't know your situation! I suppose what I mean is, if you're just taking it because you think you should, then I wouldn't. Look up 'omega 6/ omega 3 ratio'.

Magnesium - a good quality one. Solgar do a good one.

If you get bored of taking loads of different supps then the Inessa Pregnancy Multi + Omega 3 would be a good option!

Promise I'm not a shill for Inessa!! Haha I just really rate their products!!

@Leanne053 I agree with the above. 2000mg is also a really high dose. I needed a little extra help and find 500g is plenty.

The only 2 you really should take according to my fertility doctor is a good dose of Vit D or folic acid/folate. Some don't absorb Folic acid very well, some do so lots of research suggests taking Methylfolate. x

Brilliant thank you! I'll have a good look into all of this. I'll reduce the evening primrose oil, I started taking it to increase CM.

I should probably have said I am a vegetarian so would need to find a fish free omega 3 Smile

Ah ha! You can get an algae version DHA (which is the bit you want from omega 3) - this brand is very good.

If your cycle is normal then all you need is folic and vitamin D. If your BMI is over 35, the folic dose is higher. Boom, done!

Leanne053 · 07/03/2022 10:27

Thank you! Yeah I have a good regular cycle, I might supplement with the omega 3 from having a read I probably should be regardless off ttc or not.
