Why aren't I getting pregnant?

Just wondering if anyone has had an experience like mine?
I got pregnant on the first try in Jan 2020 but it turned out to be a blighted ovum, which didn’t shift with medical management but finally naturally miscarried about 3 months after first diagnosed. And now I can’t get pregnant. My blood are normal (apart from an under active thyroid which is sorted with medication) and my fertility referral has been pushed till April to fulfil my local CCGs “two years trying” rule. Frustrated is an understatement! Genuinely, say anything and I’ve tried it (even relaxing Wink)! Just wonder if anyone has had similar experience and gone on to have an actual baby, because it seems pretty unobtainable to me at the moment!

I am different from you as I have obvious cycle dysregulation, but I've been trying about the same time with one MC and it's bloody awful so I hear you. It does feel pretty unachievable sometimes.

I got private assessment - it's about 500£ (plus another 500 if you get a hycosy) and I definitely feel it put us forward in terms of understanding. It has also sped stuff up now we are in the NHS fertility clinic.

The average couple only have a 20% chance of getting pregnant each month so don't be too hard on yourself ♥️

Have you tried different supplements or maybe adjusting your diet ?
I've had an ectopic and MC in the past 9 cycles but both the above helped me get my BFP I believe. Unfortunately I have endometriosis and it interferes with me progesterone levels so that's something I'm now working with.
Also neither can harm to try. Just remember most things take three months to start working.

Also maybe acupuncture or reflexology? You could just have a slight hormone imbalance or something after the BO.

Do you track etc ?

I feel your pain in thinking it's an endless battle.
Sending you all the love and baby dust ✨♥️

Just seen it said you've tried most things so the answer to my questions will be yes 😣

I also try and research EVERYTHING so I'm with you there

Thanks @TheDaydreamBelievers, I really play with the idea of private assessment but I figure that hopefully my NHS referral will go through in April and I can get assessed then! Glad it’s working out for you Smile

@FreckledMouse thanks for the reply, do you know which supplements you’ve used? I’ve tried quite a few! I do track, I did BBT for a while but found it really messed with my head!
I do try and keep the 20% fact in mind, but also 80% if couples get pregnant within 2 years so it’s battle of the statistics in my head 😂 I just wish I was one of those people who accidentally get pregnant, imagine that!

Op I feel for you.

I just wanted to check if you have read and are following the advice on ‘it’s starts with an egg’. After 4 miscarriages I started the recurrent miscarriage regime and had success.

I was also wondering if you be considered taking a small dose of aspirin from ovulation?

GeneLovesJezebel · 17/02/2022 07:49

Have you tried tracking your fertility the old school way, height of cervix and discharge ?

Lou98 · 17/02/2022 07:55

It took us 2 years of trying and a MC after 18 months TTC to have our Son. It happened naturally in the end but it felt like it would never happen.

Whether it was coincidence or not I don't know but I will say the two months that I did manage to get pregnant I started taking MyOva Inositol. I can't say for sure but I'm fairly certain that's what made the difference for me so may be worth trying if you haven't already!

Staringatafence · 17/02/2022 14:33

@Luckystar1 thank you! I have considered starts with the egg but I’ve heard it’s a bit full on. Then again, I’m looking down try barrel of Fertility treatment which is full on too… I’ll look into it!

@Lou98 thanks for the advice, I’ll look into MyOva, I think I read about inositol before!

@GeneLovesJezebel yup, EWCM is one of my things to look out for! But might to cervix height again (makes me feel a bit queasy!)

Thanks everyone for the sympathy, it’s nice to know I’m not abnormal!

@Staringatafence it is a bit intense in terms of the whole avoiding plastics etc. I did a bit of that, but mostly skipped to the supplements bit, as I knew that I’d go mad if I got too absorbed.

SW1amp · 17/02/2022 15:38

Has your DP had a sperm analysis?
Around half of fertility problems are male-related so it’s worth getting it checked before you assume it’s something to do with you

Staringatafence · 17/02/2022 21:08

Hi @SW1amp yes he’s had all the checks the GP can order. Apart from slightly suboptimal volume (like 0.1ml below the range?) he’s completely normal!
