Hey

I thought I would start a group for those of us hoping for a nice and positive pregnancy test in March!

I am TTC after 2MC and a chemical. I have a son who is 2.5years and I will be 41 next month 😳. I have an appointment at the recurrent miscarriage clinic in a weeks time. I am keeping positive though and staying hopeful. 2022 is our year.

I am currently CD11 and giving the sperm meets egg plan a go!

@kizzy97 sorry to see you got a BFN. Welcome aboard!

My DS is an April baby, he's 4 this year too and I'm 100% not ready for him to start school! They seem so little 😭

kizzy97 · 17/02/2022 17:03

@TeddyBeans I know what you mean, I'm not ready either 😭 think that's whats egging my broodiness on as well!

Purple29 · 17/02/2022 19:17

@kizzy97 mine turns 2 this year so a little while away from school. He won't go till hes 5 (we are in scotland and end of Feb is the cut off for the school intake) cant imagine him going to school 😭

TTCBABYNO2xx · 17/02/2022 20:10

Hey gals-

First cycle TTC baby no 2... was lucky first baby concieved first cycle but was using digital ovu sticks so this time just going for a 'relaxed' approach and winging it. Just got my coil out 2 weeks ago. My son is 18 months old xx

TTCBABYNO2xx · 17/02/2022 20:18

@Purple29 hey lovely- i'm in scotland too x

MummyMe87 · 17/02/2022 21:29

CD10 today, opk was quite dark tonight, expecting Ov on Sunday

FreckledMouse · 17/02/2022 22:46

Im CD 13 today, MC bleeding has fully stopped now and CM is all back to normal.
Bloody still have the faintest line on tests though 😣 so hopefully over the weekend that will be gone 🤞🏼 and then we wait for Ovulation 🙄😶

BigAlice · 18/02/2022 07:21

@FreckledMouse that’s so tough, I feel for you. After my MC it took 3 weeks for the test to be completely negative. Sending love ❤️

Decaffe · 18/02/2022 18:58

Hi all! I was supposed to be abstaining this cycle as I was booked in for an HSG (due to the X-ray).

However, I've just been for my antral follicle count. She found nine follicles overall, which I think is good for my age..?

However, they were spread out - 7 in my LHS ovary, and only 2 in the RHS ovary, along with a dermoid cyst in the RHS. Does anyone know if this means every other month of TTC is a write off? Sad

Anyway, I mentioned that we were having to abstain this month for the HSG and she said that as she could see a maturing follicle on my LHS (i.e. I am ovulating from my 'good' side this month), she would TTC this month, then postpone the HSG to next month, when I would be ovulating from the RHS (the side with the cyst/fewer follicles) so abstaining may be less of an issue.

So that’s what we’re going to do. DH has come home absolutely shattered but we are going to DTD tomorrow morning (CD8) and then every other day. She recommended every other day instead of every day.

So there we are, nice to be back!

TeddyBeans · 18/02/2022 19:07

@Decaffe do you always alternate? I've ovulated from my left side for the last two months at least. I don't get ovulation pains from my right side but do on my left so know exactly when it happens. I would be cautious about abstaining if you don't 100% alternate each month

Purple29 · 18/02/2022 19:18

@Decaffe the dr told me after my ectopic that its not always alternate sides every month. It could be 3 from the left then 1 from the right. Or any other combo. It's such a minefield this trying to conceive business!!!

MangoLipstick · 18/02/2022 19:37

Hi @ladybuggoldfinch

I’m sorry to hear about your losses.

I also have a 2.5 year old dcSmile and ttc dc no.2. I’ve just turned 36.

My periods only came back last spring (still bf, so delayed periods)

and were all over the place, for 2 months I didn’t even ovulate, but managed to get pregnant in October last year. Sadly, I had a MMC at 12 weeks in Jan. My period came back 4 weeks after the mc. Currently CD 12, I’ve been using opks the last 3 days, the line has been very faint each time , on the app it says peak would be Sunday but I’m not going by that. I’ve had no EWCM as of yet, which was always my giveaway when ttc.

We would so love to get our bfp this year. DC often asks if she can have a ‘brudder’ or a ‘little sister’😩

ladybuggoldfinch · 18/02/2022 20:41

@MangoLipstick sorry to hear about your loss too. Fingers crossed this is the year!

@MangoLipstick so sorry about your loss. I have also just had a loss at the end of the year, last year.

My DS is almost 2 and I am also still bf. Although I am sooooo ready to stop, it's been a very long road for us!!! Sending you all the baby dust that you get your positive soon x

TeddyBeans · 19/02/2022 07:20

Morning ladies. Sorry to hear there have been so many losses on this board Flowers lots of baby dust to you all!

Last day of AF here if things go according to my regular schedule. AF has been very regular given it was 6 days late. CD14 is 28th Feb so not long now! Hopefully I ovulate from my left again so I can feel it 🤣

Decaffe · 19/02/2022 09:39

Yes, I am pretty sure I alternate. I get twinges and cramps from my LHS but never really from my RHS - now I know why! Unfortunately, my NHS trust appears to be the only one in the country that has a policy of performing the HSG after ovulation rather than before. This means (due to the X-ray) that we have to abstain for the whole month. It’s super frustrating.

Purple29 · 19/02/2022 10:13

Well last night was the last day of my FW. So the dreaded TWW begins..... bring on the symptom spotting fun!!

Tjsmjs · 19/02/2022 11:01

Hi. Sorry to hear about people’s losses.
I’m 5dpo today I think. Not sleeping great but no other symptoms. Not feeling positive this month to be honest, plus having a difficult time with DH. He goes away in a week for work and maybe the break from one another and trying will do us good.

Hiikiidiikki · 19/02/2022 12:31

Hi 👋🏽 been lurking for a couple of months but thought I’d join! TTC number 3, this is cycle 3. Had what I think is a positive opk today (first month using them) on CD11

Mortifiedwoman · 19/02/2022 14:26

I’m CD12 today, had a fairly dark opk on CD10 which is early for me, then lighter last night but urine was really dilute, I had been out and drinking a reasonable amount of fluid. Would typically get pos OPK CD12 in the evening, thought I would do one at lunch time and it’s light again. Gahhh. Usually Ov CD13 so bit lost now. No reason for change in Ov date as nothings changed or been done differently. Last month my lunch time OPKs were all lighter than evening so maybe it’s that today and tonight’s will be positive?

Ttcaftermmc · 19/02/2022 15:04

Hi hoping to join! TTC number 2, been trying for almost 3 year (under a fertility consultant, don’t ovulate regularly), fell pregnant late last year on a month off from Clomid but unfortunately at my 12 week scan there was no heartbeat from around 6 weeks :( I know it’s torture to test when I know it’s unlikely I ovulate but been testing since CD10 and now at CD21, had one day with pretty dark negatives but definitely wasn’t classed as a positive so trying to convince myself it was good enough haha! Back at the hospital in April to start back on Clomid and introduce trigger shots but desperately wanted to fall again before then and not go through all the scans and hospital trips!

Hsw202 · 19/02/2022 16:31

Hello ladies 👋. please may I join you? Dh and I started trying for number 4 (eeek!) last month. I go from being excited to terrified. Anyway, second cycle of trying for us now. I’ll be testing from the very beginning of March.

I’m so sorry for those with losses. How heartbreaking. Sending love. X

MangoLipstick · 19/02/2022 18:22

@ladybuggoldfinch thank you.
Yes! Positive thoughts, 2022 will be our year!

@Purple29 Thank you. I’m sorry for your loss too. It’s rubbish isn’t it.
I think I’ve seen your name on another thread? I kept seeing people mention the ‘Purple Method’!?

Ha - I’ve managed to reduce bf for dd down to nap time and before bed (and once or twice in the night, but that’s just a quick suckle) I did that mainly as my nips were getting sore from the pregnancy.
I think we’ve both done a good job getting this far! Thank you, wishing you all the baby dust too x

Purple29 · 19/02/2022 19:19

@MangoLipstick it is rubbish, been a struggle to get over it, still not quite there yet.

Haha yes, I never called it the purple method. Just sharing what worked for us!!!

We are down to just before bedtime, occasionally nap time if it's me putting him down. He did seem to be going off it when I was pregnant tho. I am glad I got this far.

LEBee92 · 20/02/2022 09:01

Morning all,

I’ve been lurking but as AF has arrived this weekend thought I would finally say hiii!

We are TTC number 1 - heading into Cycle 2 although I wasn’t confident about Cycle 1 anyway having only had the coil out at the end of Jan but AF has arrived like clockwork as I still had light bleeding each month on the coil so I guess it’s reassuring that it sorted itself out quickly and makes it easier to track my cycle.

Sorry to hear about those who have had losses. Let’s hope March is the lucky month for us all xo
