Hoping for a BFP in March

Hey

I thought I would start a group for those of us hoping for a nice and positive pregnancy test in March!

I am TTC after 2MC and a chemical. I have a son who is 2.5years and I will be 41 next month 😳. I have an appointment at the recurrent miscarriage clinic in a weeks time. I am keeping positive though and staying hopeful. 2022 is our year.

I am currently CD11 and giving the sperm meets egg plan a go!

Just spotted the April thread on the conception board for those who were looking for it!

That's the one thank you @BabyBird20

Hello ladies, I've been in the background reading your posts for a little while and thought I would say hi ☺️
I am also on the TTC journey and have found your posts rather warm and supportive ☺️ and thought it was time to post away.
Congratulations to all of you who have tested positive this month (March) 🤗🙌🌻

Decaffe · 08/03/2022 07:44
@Decaffe that is really strange. Have you got any other brands you could try? Xx
I stopped buying FRERs as I worked out I’d spent an absolute fortune on them, only to get so upset with countless indents and evap lines. So now I just buy the most sensitive tests I can buy that are internet cheapies. The easy@Home ones are 10miU so I don’t mind using one or two a day.

And they have always been clearly negative, unlike FRER when squinting at the second line would consume me for the afternoon!

11dpo here, another negative easy@Home.

I am going to get a HSG in the next cycle so just want AF to hurry up now so I can get booked in for the HSG.

Cecelia90 · 08/03/2022 08:26

I didn’t have a test in the house to test this morning I’ll pick some up on lunch but as my period is due tomorrow. I’ve not got long to wait. So may hang off on testing, or try to 😇

lottieb92 · 08/03/2022 09:38

I think I’m in the wait…I say so hesitantly because … I haven’t tested, temped or tracked and its been liberating, confusing and exciting all in one 🥵

Verdict is out one if I’ll do this again next month (although I’d course fingers crossed I won’t have too!)

I may still DTD to cover a late egg drop, but we managed to spontaneously do as best as we could ✨🙌🏻
Entering without knowing DPO is very strange but at least I know I have to wait for at least ten days from now before I pee on a stick.

Congrats on the BFPs those who already have them this month, best of luck and send some our way!! Xx

Natalie2304 · 08/03/2022 09:43

@Decaffe sorry you've got another negative. Totally get the cost of the FRER's!
I hope you get an answer either way soon so can move on the next month ❤️

@Cecelia90 you have so much willpower I'm impressed!

@lottieb92 I did track ovulation this month, but hid it from my DH so he didn't know and we only actually DTD twice, once 2 days before ovulation and once the day after and it worked. I really think not putting as much pressure on DTD and having to 'perform' helped! (And my DH doesn't even have a problem 'performing'!)
Previous months I've tried following SMEP and DTD every other day and it just seemed so structured and not enjoyable!
🤞🏻 it works for you too ❤️

lottieb92 · 08/03/2022 09:54

Wow @Natalie2304 that’s so promising to hear, last few cycles when I tracked ovulation was later and my LH kept rising so we peaked too soon and indeed ran out of steam / motivation it felt too pressured. So it was nice to relax into it more this time!
Thank you for sharing it’s made me feel confident I did the right thing even more a mental break!

I’ll be shouting it from the roof tops if it works 🤍🙌🏻 Big congrats and love how you delivered the news. (I have planned each and every way I will be telling family - talk about optimistic!)

Testers of today and yesterday - how are you holding up?

Decaffe · 08/03/2022 13:05

Oh crikey what’s going on?

Today I am 11dpo. AF isn’t due until Sunday. My luteal phase is always 14/15 days.

I’ve just been to the loo and, well, there is fresh blood when I wipe. If this is AF then that makes a luteal phase this month of 10 days? Why?

Bundaberg84 · 08/03/2022 13:08

@Decaffe could it be implantation bleeding?

Decaffe · 08/03/2022 13:31

Unlikely: I’ve just done another easy@Home test and it’s negative. I think I am starting to feel some heaviness down below

Possibly: My cervix is really high! No sign of any more blood. Surely I can’t go to a 10 day luteal phase from a 14/15 day one.

I am truly stumped. However… I have just found a pack of two FRER in the bathroom…! 👀 So I guess I need to finish this cuppa then do a six hour hold?!

Natalie2304 · 08/03/2022 13:35

@Decaffe but if it is implantation you probably won't get your positive just yet so maybe? 🤞🏻

Natalie2304 · 08/03/2022 13:36

I know HCG doubles every 48 hours so based on this does this progression look ok to you guys for 24 hours in between?

I have such bad anxiety today that it won't stick!

Hoping for a BFP in March
Decaffe · 08/03/2022 13:40

That looks good @Natalie2304, it’s definitely getting pinker!

It’s all such a rollercoaster isn’t it!

Natalie2304 · 08/03/2022 13:42

@Decaffe let me know how you get on if you use the FRER. I'm really routing for you! Xx

Bundaberg84 · 08/03/2022 14:00

@Decaffe but you wouldn't get a positive yet if it's implantation - would take two days until hcg is high enough?

Cecelia90 · 08/03/2022 14:02

It looks darker @Natalie2304

arianasky · 08/03/2022 14:53

Congratulations to all the BFP's 🎉

@Natalie2304 the FRER progression looks great to me 💕

kizzy97 · 08/03/2022 15:38

Just had a high OPK reading of 0.66 how long after that do people tend to get their peaks? Would dtd tonight do much? Can't dtd until tonight

Kitty901 · 08/03/2022 15:48

We get active as soon as i see a high opk until after it is negative again. Hasn't helped us in the last cycles but that is what we normally do.

GeraniumCedarwood · 08/03/2022 16:32

@kizzy97 - yes might as well DTD, you might not be ovulating for a few days, as it’s not a 1 yet. But you are probably now in your fertile window? What CD are you and when do you usually ovulate? X

GeraniumCedarwood · 08/03/2022 16:34

@kizzy97 just to add, you want to be having sex before ovulation so that sperm can be in the Fallopian tubes ready for the egg when it is released. Sperm can live up to five days in the uterus and Fallopian tubes

kizzy97 · 08/03/2022 17:30

@GeraniumCedarwood I'm CD14 and usually a regular 28 day cycle but I've had wonky cycles the last couple of months so I'm hoping to get back to regular this month. I've dtd CD 8, 9 and 11 so far and hoping to again tonight

GeraniumCedarwood · 08/03/2022 17:49

@kizzy97 my cycles are a bit wonky so know what it feels like waiting to get an OPK high enough and still not know if ovulation has happened. I think I ovulated on CD23! Had ovulation pain on CD21. But only had spotting today on CD25.
