Hi everyone,

First time starting a thread!

I've been ttc 2.5 years since my last mmc with no luck and 3 failed cycles of letrozole so I wanted to make sure my tubes were clear!

We had our HSG done in Nuffield who said that they would not discuss the results on the day but my fertility clinic never booked me in for a follow up after the procedure (they were the ones who referred me!) On the day I got the procedure done and the radiologist asked if I had a follow up booked which I didn't so he said that both tubes were clear! I asked if there was anything else and he said the uterine cavity is curved instead of triangle but this won't effect anything. I rang my clinic and they said they'll call me sometime next week to let me know If we can continue with treatment or if we will need a consultation to discuss anything further first. I know I'll have to wait to hear what they say but has anyone had this curved instead of triangle? Also how long do I have to wait to ttc after the HSG, nothing was mentioned

Hi there, I'm sorry I don't have answers but hopefully someone will come along that knows :)

We were told it wouldn't affect us TTC and tried again at the next available opportunity :) Two months later I was pregnant. Fingers crossed it works for you as well!

Thank you ladies for your replies! My clinic emailed on Monday to say its all looking good so I'm guessing no need for concern 🙏 x

I am about to embark on my ivf/icsi journey and had a few questions. The reason why we are going via ivf is due to male factor infertility - oligoazoospermia. It has definitely improved but still considered to be low in numbers. My periods are regular and i possibly may have pcos but show no typical symptoms.

I was wondering is it necessary to have an hsg/hycosy if i am going to have ivf/icsi?

@Despmummatobe It would be better to post your own thread on the conception or infertility boards, rather than on someone else's (I assume this was an accident). Yes, it can still be useful as you may have a hidden issue. I've had 5 ivf transfers and only after the 5th was a big adhesion found when I went for a more specialist scan elsewhere. Those IVFs were essentially pointless for me. If I could turn back time I'd have done more tests prior to ivf.
