Rising LH post ovulation

Due to a week long family trip away, I missed temping and Lola during fertile week. My cycle length is usually 35 days with ovulation around 19-22. Ttc baby no1 since July 21. I’m 37 and have started process for fertility treatment review and aaaiting some bloods etc that they require.

Anyhoo, I’ve been testing my lh and temps since I’ve been back and noticed that my lh levels have been slowly rising (testing in the evenings)- and my temps this luteal phase have been lower than usual for me (usually 36.5-36.9) so I’m wondering if I haven’t ovulated and am missing my current fertile week! Panicking as I don’t live with my partner (2 hours apart).

Cervix is high, soft. Cream/white cm. otherwise no symptoms whatsoever. I really want to be pregnant so bad! what is this torture every month- feel like I build myself up and get deflated every time I see a negative hpt 😔

I didn’t ask the question I had- which was
A) does anyone else continue taking lh after ovulation
B) have you noticed a diurnal variation (higher in the evening/lower with morning urine?)
C) does this mean anything or is it all just some trickery to make me hope against the odds for my 🌈 and then dash it all when AF arrives

Hello, didn't want to read and run.

To answer your questions I don't keep doing OPKs after I think I've ovulated (and seen the OPK go negative) but we do keep having sex until my temps are consistently high so I can be confident that ovulation has happened.

Does your question B relate to OPKs? If so yes LH only kick starts in your system about 11am and lots of people only get positive OPKs in the afternoon / evening. I always test about 12pm then when it's looking like ovulation is approaching I'll do them for the rest of the day as well to make sure I catch the peak.

I think with a partial chart it's really hard to tell if you've ovulated so if the positive LH could be because you're about to ovulate late in your cycle. Personally I wouldn't read too much into LH tests if I think I've already ovulated but I know others think it could be a sign of pregnancy.

Must be hard being so far away from your partner when TTC. But we've been trying for a year now so I get your frustration and desperation. That's good you've kick started tests, it can take a while so may as well get the ball rolling.
