Hi all,

Not really sure if I’m looking for advice or someone who can relate - I know nobody can tell me the answer so I guess I would just like to hear peoples opinions/experiences.

I have last month had my contraceptive implant removed and about 5 days after removal had a 6 day bleed (AF or withdrawal bleed not sure). On CD10 had ovulation symptoms and dtd on this day, then a week later had a 2/3 day light bleed. So 2 bleeds in space of 3 weeks. I’m having weird pains at the moment in my lower back and lower right side. I say ‘weird’ as I don’t normally get any cramps or anything but maybe it’s placebo as you can clearly see I’m probably overreacting 😂

Not really sure what my question is really - is it possible to ovulate on cycle day 10? How long does it normally take for cycles to go back to normal after implant removal? Is it normal to have 2 bleeds in 3 weeks? I’m guessing pregnancy is very unlikely given these dates? Pre contraception I had long cycles (didn’t really track but I think they were pretty irregular) and very short light periods. That was a while ago. I’m 25

The title of this thread could be the title of this whole sub forum TBH Wink

Yeah, unfortunately there's no way telling what your body is doing right now. Yes, you could be ovulating at CD10, but most probably your body and hormones are starting to regulate and will do weird things in the next couple of days and weeks.

There is no textbook going-off-contraception. Some will not bleed for a long while, some will have very short cycles for bit.

The thing is, while you're on contraception you don't ovulate and therefore don't experience the whole second half of a normal cycle. Lots of things happen during that time. You will start noticing :)

Anyways, good luck to you and fingers crossed!
