Hello!

Today I had an early scan I believed from date of my last period I was 9 weeks 5 days but today they measured me at 10 week 1 day! Now my friend went to the same place and they listened to heartbeat but they never did that with mine! So I bought a home Doppler and I found it!!! It's measuring 167bmp! I was wondering if this is a good bmp for the weeks I am???

Thankyou 💗

Please do not use a dappled. Unless you are trained to use it ut can be both inaccurate and dangerous. Congratulations on your pregnancy

Please don’t use a Doppler. If you have any concerns about your baby’s heartbeat or movements please speak to the midwife or hospital.

They're not dangerous to the baby, more for yourself as a heartbeat doesn't always mean everything is ok. If you feel like something is wrong, speak to a midwife. If you're doing it for reassurance, this is not a good way to do that

There is a reason NHS don't do heartbeat until after 20 weeks and anomoly scan. You don't know what to listen for or what is good or bad. Like pp said, they shouldn't be used for reassurance, as could cause more worry.
