Me and my partner conceived back in September, long story short it didn’t work out… sad
Fast forward to now we’re not ttc and I’m not on any contraception, he is withdrawing though which we both agreed on. Probably sounds strange to some but we want to wait a while before properly ttc… if it happens it happens sort of thing.
What are the chances of getting pregnant from withdrawing and then (tmi) him putting it back in a few seconds later without really wiping… He also had some ejaculate on his fingers which also came into contact…….. tmi, sorry! blush

I ovulate tomorrow, this happened this morning. I’m quite fertile also. Just panicking now that’s it’s too soon for us to ttc. Debating the MAP

I’m sorry for your loss. Did you have any counselling or talk to anyone about what happened? You sound a bit muddled in your thinking - you say if it happens, it happens, but after some quite risky behaviour from your DP, you’re now contemplating the MAP. I wonder if your partner is on the same page as you with all this?

I wish you all the best with your decision. If you do go for the MAP, maybe think about a more reliable contraception until you feel ready.

@Barnyboo hi! What you've written is really contradictory - if you're using the pull out method, you're never going to be without risk of pregnancy every month, even if you know when you ovulate and track etc.

It sounds like you are at risk of being pregnant - I think it's 20-25% every month. If you are on one hand saying if it happens, it happens and then considering MAP you need to perhaps have further discussions without partner. To be on the safe side, if you are worried and as you say, you are 'very fertile' (not sure what this really means), then using contraception might be better to save you the worry and anxiety when this happens.

  • with your partner.

Obviously there is a risk. I doubt it's particularly high to be honest as the chances of getting pregnant without withdrawing are not massive.

I think you need to decide - with your partner - what you both want in terms of ttc. Because if you don't want a baby now, you need to find a better slightly less risky method of contraception.
