Should I just give up?

Any advice gratefully received - be as honest/brutal as you like.

I'm a mum of 2 gorgeous children who I had in my mid and late 30s. I miscarried #3 in April 2020 aged 43 and again on Christmas Day with #4 😔
I know it's because of my age. I'm 44 now.
I still have regular periods and am clearly still fertile but two miscarriages have taken their toll.

Are there any older mums with positive stories for me? Or should I just stop and be grateful for what I have? Thanks in advance.

Depends on how much you can take. Miscarriages do increasingly happen at that age, and people handle them differently (personally, I’m more of a ‘get on an deal with it’ person, I hate the ‘so sorry for your loss’ comments)

I’m 43 myself, ttc since birth of dd at age 41 (rainbow baby after early miscarriage). So far no success, but we are willing to try as long as there’s petrol in the tank.

That’s just me, tho. Miscarriages are terrible, particularly if they happen quite late, and having to go through this repeatedly can be an ordeal that is just too much.

But my personal view is just this: I don’t want to look back in 10 years knowing that I didn’t at least try everything I could to conceive naturally.

Thank you for your reply @AugmentedToast - that's a good way of looking at it. No regrets then, no matter what. Here's to plenty more petrol in the tank!
