COVID Booster while TTC

So we are trying for baby no 2 and I've got my COVID Booster jab booked in for Friday 17th Dec, this is the day I'm due to ovulate. My dilemma is do I skip the booster this month and reschedule for next month if I get my period or do I just have it anyway. I've read about the booster and the effects on fertility which they say are very small etc... but I just don't want it to have any impact on us TTC this month, plus I don't want to feel like rubbish over Xmas if I have any side effects from the booster.
I can't decide what's for the best, I'm already double jabbed and would be happy to have it if and when I get pregnant I just don't want to risk having it while TTC and it effect my ovulation/chances.
But again with this new variant coming and the potential of another lockdown is it worth getting the booster even though it's still a fairly new variant that they don't really know much about??
I know it's all personal preference I just wondered if anyone had any experience or advice. Thanks Smile

Hello. Keen to hear people's experiences. I'm on day 2 post ovulation and due to have my booster on day 7 but worried about any effects. Although if I wait till next month I'll probably have the same concerns no matter the time of month 🙈🙈

I had the pfizer booster the week of AF on my first cycle TTC. I didn't ovulate until day 21 of the next cycle, one month later it was day 15 so I think it likely does impact it, at least if taken at the AF stage. I would be surprised if it delays ovulation when you are in the middle of it though. I just had a massive stomach bug virus and couldn't function for 3 days, and even that didn't stop ovulation when it had already kicked off.

Also, personal preference, but I would rather have the booster knowing I wasn't pregnant (early stage), but recognise the need to get it, and it is definitely worth doing. Hence my let's wait for AF before getting it. Otherwise I think I would have waited until 3 months pregnant to be safe. The booster knocked me out for about 24 hours, but guess its better than covid! The delay to the next cycle was irritating, but only lasted one. Hope you all get it soon!

I had the booster on Sunday and am due to ovulate this Friday/ Saturday. Really worried it will have messed with my cycle / ovulation but hoping if it has then it’s just one cycle and it’s Christmas anyway so I can focus on that and get back on track next month.

I’d probably go ahead and get the booster if I was you as 1) I doubt it would effect anything I’d you’re literally due to ovulate the same day and 2) you might not be able to rebook for some time as I bet the waiting lists are getting longer. Also I felt terrible yesterday after it, wouldn’t fancy feeling like that while pregnant!
