2 day light bleed, bfn 17dpo, any hope?

Hi all, really hoping there's some success stories out there and that I'm still in for a chance! We're approaching a year and a half of TTC, and not sure how much of it I can take!

I was sure this month was the month, it just felt completely different and I had all of the right symptoms. Acid, nausea, light cramps in my lower left belly, backache, headache, extreme tiredness and hunger etc.

It got to cycle day 43/15dpo and I had spotting in the morning... which then turned into light bleeding mid day, mostly when I wiped but enough to come out into a pad (but only one pad for the whole day), then the day after it slowed down back to spotting again...

I tested at 17dpo and BFN. Not even a faint line. But I just don't understand as I have never had a day and a half/2 day bleed before, AF is usually heavy from day one and lasts 4/5 days... and I still have ALL of the symptoms previously mentioned.

I'm now 19dpo and wondering if I should test again? But not sure I can handle another stark white negative...

Anyone had a bfn at 17dpo and then gone on to get a bfp?

I hate to say it but the only way to find out is to test again @mumtomads. TTC is a rollercoaster and I find when I get my hopes up it's just my body messing with me. I'm on one of the TTC threads and there's a whole load of ladies who've recently got their BFPs after 2 years of trying so there is hope! X

OP, the realist in me thinks that is quite late on not to get a BFP so you likely aren't pregnant, but you really should test. If you are on cycle day 47 and you've had a short bleed I think you need to see a GP to rule out anything untoward. It is possible you have had a chemical pregnancy and need to make sure everything is clear. Plus there is still a chance for good news. How long are your cycles usually?

@larrythelizard I already have one beautiful daughter who will be 3 this week, so I know my body is capable of getting pregnant... which makes it so much more frustrating when it doesn't work each bloody month!!! Think I'll just have to bite the bullet and take another test, and if negative, embrace the new cycle and start all over again Sad

@user33323 I've absolutely rinsed google and unfortunately that seems to be the most likely result... I think I was just so convinced it was this month that I'm holding on to every little possibility! How would I or the doctor know if it was a chemical?

Cycles are typically 35 days but have also had a few longer cycles around 39/40 days!
