Can a chemical pregnancy delay your access to IVF/further tests?

Hi all, would love to hear experiences. I have my first NHS hospital phone call next week. I am nearly 40 and we have been trying for over six months.

My question is, I had a chemical in early October. Should I mention it? My worry is that I mention it, they say “oh so you can conceive” and then make us wait longer for further tests. I’m really not sure what to say.

Am I over-worrying?!

I would tell them. If you’ve been trying for 6 months, and you’ve had a pregnancy and an early miscarriage in that time then that’s pretty good odds. It’s only been a max of 8 weeks since your last pregnancy.

I can see why you wouldn’t want to mention it, but also why would you go into fertility treatment without giving them all of the information?
