@alexalexalex18 I am 8dpo. The ttw is the worst. I don't have any symptoms so not feeling hopeful but u never know. X

No worries! Yep, you have a flashing smiley which is high fertility, and then a static smiley which is peak fertility- you should ovulate 12-36 hours after that.

I'm definitely out this month - AF has arrived.
Disappointed as usually we go off like rabbits during FD but this time spread it out and used preseed. Feel like this will never happen for me. Over it.

Hi all. I just need to off load my frustration. This is our second cycle trying… husband is all up for it. Yesterday was my ovulation day and we dtd Sunday night, last night we did and then he pulled out 🙈 I now feel bad but I was so annoyed, he just said he forgot. I had in my head this was our month and I’ll be telling him around Xmas we were pregnant. I’ve said after this month if it didn’t happen we would leave it for a while as I have my other daughters birthdays jan and feb and obviously Christmas is an expense… I just feel deflated… he had one job 🤦‍♀️ Ugh men.

I'm currently writing a diary about my tww to take my mind off my tww 😅 I'm 14 dpo, didn't get my usual sore boobs after ovulation and they still aren't sore but they are a little fuller the last 2 days. Had very light spotting 10dpo followed by light cramps. Have had 3 bfn but I know I'm testing early. Af due tomorrow and I'm hoping it doesn't arrive. Will test again in the morning 🤞 been ttc for 6 months and never had symptoms close to what I'm getting this month. Trying not to get my hopes up though

It’s not mandatory to have symptoms!
Missed period is the most important.
Each body is different.

@Billymay that's annoying lol, pulling out isn't a contraceptive though so hopefully some sperm still got where it needed to go! I'm in a similar boat, my husband is 'injured' and will barely go near me this month it's such a pain. My cycle is all over the place so I'm just trying to make sure we do it every other day but he is making that veryyy bloody difficult. You are right they have one job lol! But fingers crossed this could still be our month x

@frenchie4002 Honestly I couldn’t believe it.. I was so annoyed 😠 but then felt bad as don’t want to think I’m using him just for his swimmers although I was a bit. I’ve had ovulation pains today so think I might change one go tonight but I’m not hopeful. Sorry to hear your partner is injured.. sounds like a good idea to have a rest day in between… I mean you don’t want him burning out. Oh well let’s keep positive xxx

@Billymay I literally feel the same, we ended up having an argument about it last night which is the last thing I wanted but it's so stressful - we had a miscarriage in October and I'm so desperate to conceive again. Have another go tonight, nothing to lose and you never know you may catch it in time. When are you due AF this month? I think I'd be due on the 24th which feels miles away! Xxx

@Keepingmyfingerscrossed I am so sorry you're having a hard time :( that's good tho that you're gp isn't concerned and if it is AF then think positively about starting a fresh new cycle :) sending lots of baby dust your way!

I have pretty much convinced myself I must be pregnant and so I'm dreading testing on Friday haha. I have had on and off cramps again today and constantly feel wet (sorry tmi) so I rush to the loo and there's nothing. I always get cramping the day before AF so still hoping this cramping is too early to be AF. But trying to keep my mind distracted for the next few days cause atm it's all I can think about!!

@newjourney21 that's exciting! I had cramps way before they could be AF cramps when I was early on so fingers crossed for you. Try to stay calm, not long to go until you'll know for sure! Is Friday the earliest you can test?

@frenchie4002 that's positive! Here's hoping as it is unusual for me! Tbh I probably could start testing as I'm 10dpo but I wanted to try and hold out until AF due day. I know a bfn this early is likely but I know it would get me really down! I'd rather see if AF arrives and if not then test!

Is it ok if I join? I know I’m late to the group. This is just cycle 1 ttc for me and I’m currently on CD2 so AF made an appearance yesterday.

Although I delayed my AF this month using Norethisterone tablets so if I hadn’t used the tablets today would be CD7 for me so I’m a little confused what this is going to mean for my ovulation this month with dates etc. (Have a full separate post on this so won’t add it here but if anyone can help on that post I’d appreciate it )

I have bought some ovulation tests but I’m undecided yet whether I should test this month or just relax a little seeing as it’s only my first month ttc.

Hi ladies, I'd like to join if ok? We are ttc #2 and this is cycle two of officially trying (using opks) but we've been using no protection for a fair few months now just on the off chance anything happened. I had a total nightmare ttc number 1 and ended up in the fertility clinic, diagnosed with pcos and a month away from ivf when my miracle bfp happened so have no idea what's going to happen this time and it's already making me super anxious! Had my static smiley this morning so the tww starts today... af due on 21st so hoping for a Christmas miracle!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Anyone else on the same time frame this month?

Hi everyone, Mumsnet newbie here ☺️ I'm on ttc cycle 2 (though like @BabyBird20 we had a few protection free cycles before too). After my experience last month i honestly don't know how people cope with it 😅😅 I had all these cramps about a weeks after ovulation followed by 2 days of nausea, so was utterly convinced I had been incredibly lucky and caught first try. I never get those symptoms so I would have bet my flat on it..AF was 3 days late (and she's usually prompt), but then there she was. I was so shocked and very emotional. It was a very painful period so almost wonder if it was a failed implantation? Because I just can't explain the nausea... Any way I learned the hard way that I need to get better at not getting my hopes up!

One thing that's totally messing me up is that if we don't catch this month we have to pause til May because hubby is going to Barbados (trip of a life time for his dad's 70th). It was all booked long before we clocked the zika/conception issue, and when we realised we decided the compromise (to not let his family down) was that we ttc before and I don't go in case we get lucky. That seemed the best approach back then (it was all paid for so we just felt so guilty pulling out). Anyway it's all proper first world problems, but now that it's here I am feeling heartbroken about the idea of pausing ttc. And it feels unlikely we will catch this month, you never know I suppose but that would be far too lucky!!

Anyway Ive been reading Mumsnet loads recently and finding all the info and advice v helpful so thought it's high time I joined :) :)

@Tor88 I’m the same as you.. will have to pause till July 😢 I guess sometimes we just have to leave it up to the universe and just go with it. I was symptom spotting last month like crazy and I’ve sworn to not do that to myself again. Xxx

@Billymay I'm not even going! It seemed the easiest thing was for me to pull out just in case we do conceive, so now a very likely outcome is that I don't conceive, don't go on the holiday and still have to take the zika delay, nightmare! I'm looking into private blood tests for hubby , if we can rule out infection maybe we can start sooner... Theres also a chance omnicron is going to put a stop to the trip, though I know I shouldn't hope for that 😂😂 Are you going to Barbados @billymay, or elsewhere?
