Where to donate leftover IVF meds?

Hi,
I ve been very lucky with IVF and now 5 months pregnant.
Since all is going well, i m considering donating all of my left over IVF medication.
Any idea if there is a charity?
I cant bring myself to throw 500 pounds worth of medication in the bin.
Thanks for any advice!
Wishing everyone best of luck in their journeys
🤞

I'd doubt it, pharmacist are very wary of redistributing drugs incase they have been tampered with.
I can't even imagine anyone looking for them on somewhere like FB.
Speak with your clinic and see if you can sell them on to someone.

We donated all of our leftover(unused) needles and syringes to a charity that used them overseas. I can’t remember where now, but it involved posting it all to them. Sorry I can’t remember but maybe google can help.
The actual medications can’t be reused, as pp above says. Take them to your local pharmacy and they’ll get rid of them for you. The money you paid for them is well spent - congratulations - so you just need to chuck them out now.

You can't donate the drugs but there are overseas aid charities that would be able to use any needles or similar equipment.

My unused needles went back to the clinic they can use them for teaching people how to do injections, ie injecting tomatoes or oranges with water.

It's a few years ago but I gave all my leftover drugs to the nhs fertility dept that saw me before we went private. They were v happy to take them

It's illegal to donate / give away / sell on any medications.

It's a nice thought but ultimately you don't know the other persons intentions - they could sell on what you gave them for free or they could attempt a home DIY ivf cycle unmonitored - not to mention what else they could be mixed with

Are you sure they used them rather than disposed of them?

The pharmacy at my local hospital will not take drugs back after they have been handed over, even if the person hasn't actually left the counter.

While going through IVF I was a member of a Facebook group for the area I live in, and people did offer up leftover medication.
