When you don’t think about your days as “Monday Tuesday Wednesday” you think of them as “fertile week” or “CD12” we know the feeling.

We’ve tried baby dust (back in early 2020 I think we stopped believing in that!?, we’ve tried chocolate/pizza & sofa sex (remember that? Late 2020, that got a lot of babies!) and now we are onto manifesting, testing, pleading & yet there’s still some unwanted bleeding🤣😂well tough titties we are here to stay til we get those BFPs🤞🏻🙌🏻we just need to rinse out our foofs & get the nurses to wade through our stocking full of old sperm 💦

Whether you are TTC “normally”, IUI/ivf or anything we are a crew that cling together to the bitter end & always ready to help a sister out. We’ve had multiples, some losses so know two lines can be just as terrifying as none, and we’ve got ladies where those two lines are more illusive than a white Christmas 🎅🏻

It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

If you see mention of Instagram I have a public account where a lot of people are linked too:
Minstermusings, and a few people have created new anonymous accounts to record their TTC journey/life stupidities m/general annoyances on…just don’t mention TTC on a personal account.

@xoJellyBean omg. I would be mortified! 🤣🙈
@Juno231 ah OK. Ooohhh I wonder if he can make any other weapons? 🤣

Juno231 · 17/11/2021 11:40

Gah the couple opposite me are here for a 1030 appointment and still haven't been seen.

Kirky658 · 17/11/2021 11:49

@minster2012 honestly a c section isn't that bad. You just need to allow yourself time to recover 😘
@juno231 wow busy day, hope all goes well!

paintfairy · 17/11/2021 12:28

@Juno231 ridiculous! What's the point of giving appointments?!

feliznavidad2 · 17/11/2021 12:33

Lots of luck for tomorrow @paintfairy 🤞🏻

Vil10 · 17/11/2021 12:34

@Juno231 okay I'll wait until it's been a month then I might ring! Wow what's the point in having appointments!! I hate when they're late, but imagine if you had been late!!

@clolo Thankyou lovely!x

@xoJellyBean welcome!!x

@Minster2012 oh I could do with some stars aligning right now!!

@paintfairy ohh that's not too bad then! So since your referral to transfer it's been about 10 months for you? I definitely understand your reason for not testing!! Keeping everything crossed for you for the morning🤞🏼

@larrythelizard definitely a good distraction! I'm just starting to feel the stress of us possibly having to move into parents if we haven't got a house and how will TTC go then!!

Hey ladies! Thanks for the new bus :)

Symptoms all sound good @paintfairy 🤞🤞

Your week/weekend sounds great @Juno231 - I still haven't managed to fully reinstate my life after covid so very jealous!
I hope the trial happens soon! I hate it when they leave you waiting for so bloody long!

@Vil10 hopefully the renovation house is the one! When are you hoping to complete on your house?

@Minster2012 good news on c section agreed so soon! Do you have a preference on sex of the baby? Or just a healthy baby? Great that you got one booked in before your DH goes away ☺️

@franklydear I hope no one in your household gets too ill with covid! Hopefully it's mild and you just have a nice two weeks off 😉

@xoJellyBean welcome!

Bit of advice needed please!

We've just moved from the Midlands (in August) down to the south coast. I started a new job in September (teaching) but hate it so handed my notice in at October half term. Got until Christmas there but been signed off with pregnancy sickness 😔 I feel a bit guilty because it's not that bad and I could definitely work, but I just can't deal with the environment. Things thrown across rooms, being sworn at etc. I just spent all my time in tears - not worth it at all!

Anyway, just been offered a new job as an office manager (random, I'm an engineer, then teacher) but obvs can hopefully only do it for 6 months. Should I accept the job?! Even though when I start I will hopefully be 16 weeks pregnant?! Seems like a shit start to the job, and I also have a 6 month probation so could be fired when they find out I'm pregnant.. Any wise words?!

Franklydear · 17/11/2021 13:44

Thanks @gcat16 that’s how I sold it to ds, two weeks on the iPad instead of school, he feels perfectly fine so far, thank god
On the job, I would take it, not like you’re going to do something else in the meantime, and who knows, they might like you enough to have you come back after maternity, nothing to lose

Minster2012 · 17/11/2021 13:50

Catching up over coffee

@clolo yep mould, it was from last nights tea but I left it on top of the Aga which is still basically a warming plate & forgot about it. Turns out should've been put in the fridge 😬😳

@paintfairy that makes sense about not wanting to be on your own. We are all rooting for you tomorrow. I might sneakily open the box later, yes an axe made by the talented @Dollybird89 's OH!

@xoJellyBean omg it's all our worst fears!! That's a brilliantly awful story! A few ppl have made TTC accounts & follow my public account if you haven't joined us already. Yes there's def @DKDK123 who has had success despite a large thyroid

@Juno231 I'm hoping you are done now & well into your double booked meetings?

Juno231 · 17/11/2021 14:09

@gcat16 covid - what covid? 😅 I honestly don't know what I'd do in your situation but would lean towards letting them know your pregnanct before accepting? Or not depending on whether you just really need that 6 months income before you give birth.

They called me in at 1203 and I was out again at 1214 🤣. That's including our pre and post procedure chat. They made it sound so much worse than it was - showing me this big catheter, warning me it'll be quite crampy and keeping a nurse up by my head for support/holding my arm for comfort. Erm... I didn't feel anything 😅. Male gynae said it's because he's a pro 😎. All clear though, won't have any problems come transfer day. He did say though that my notes from the hysteroscopy said they struggled to get in a bit and that with my LLETZ/LEEP it's wise to have a look as otherwise sod's law it wouldn't work on the day.

Minster2012 · 17/11/2021 14:15

@gcat16 I do have a preference on the sex of the baby, I have a DS & would love a daughter, it's also a joke in my DHs family that we can't make girls (DH also has 2 brothers & one sister) and all of us have male children, along with our nephew on my side too so all boys 😂(caveat that of course a baby is more important)

On the job front def take it. Although in theory yes you can get fired from a job in the first 2 years it's a bit harder than that. You should always have a probation meeting, where you are told of you have passed, failed or probation extended. If you didn't pass the probation be offered written reasons why which you can compare against the job spec. So any company would always have to be very careful as to do it by the rules so you couldn't suggest discrimination due to pregnancy. If you have passed your probation & have it in writing then reasonably you can ask for the job to be held open for you for after maternity. The issue is that if you then asked for say flexi time or reduced hours upon return they then have the opportunity to prove it's not operationally possible within that role so they can refuse that. But again not reasons not to take it, just things to think off and try be diligent in getting things in writing

@Juno231 seeeee def anti climax 😂😂👌🏻👌🏻but great it was easy!

@Juno231 was this the same place where you will be having the ivf? I hope they'll be on time then! And that's funny, no one told me anything about my transfer. No preparation for it being awful. And it wasn't- I felt nothing either. The speculum wasn't even uncomfortable. It was all very easy. The iui was worse because that is crampy due to them shoving it in further. They can see the transfer so that doesn't happen.
@gcat16 sworn at and things thrown? What? What kind of job is this?! Maybe just inform them with the new job but if they are ok with it then yes take the job.
@Vil10 yes but I also had a hsg and 3 iui in that time. It wasn't like nothing was happening.
@Minster2012 🤮 it looks gross.

Juno231 · 17/11/2021 14:33

@Vil10 i would have had a similar timeline to paintfairy had I not delayed things due to the new job. Had a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, HSG, repeat SA, repeat bloods, repeat ultrasounds done in that time so there was still stuff happening.

Minster2012 · 17/11/2021 14:34

@clolo neither did I 😂😂I thought I was going to be good having extra veg for lunch 🤪

@Juno231 I think he used to work with cyanide. I mean there's nothing he hasn't seem to do 🙄 one of them! That's great news, annoying you had to wait so long though. All systems go then 😊

@Minster2012 we were the same. DD was the first girl to be produced by a male on DHs side for about 5 generations 😆 oh wow I never thought something like that would mould so easily!

Juno231 · 17/11/2021 16:32

@Minster2012 fingers crossed for a girl. That would be my preference too.

Does anyone follow chloeandbeans on insta? She's just announced another pregnancy... Kiddo #9 and she's only 28!

Juno231 · 17/11/2021 16:32

#prolapse

larrythelizard · 17/11/2021 17:44

No I don't @Juno231 but I'm going to go and look her up. 9?!?!?!

Dollybird89 · 17/11/2021 17:54

@Minster2012 did u peak yet? Here's what we been talking about ladies... Just missing the final leather on this pic.

@paintfairy btw loved MAFS! So good that twist 😂😂tonight I shall be stalking them to see what they are up to (though DH already told me one spoiler last week the knob ) so it shows how much he HATES it when he knows stuff from the news I don't!

@larrythelizard @Juno231 also running off for an insta stalk wtf!! Do they want to be the new radfords???

@minster2012 just open it slightly to check it didn't get damaged in transit... It shouldn't with all the padding I put in but still xx

Bea14 · 17/11/2021 20:12

@Minster2012 Glad your appointment went well. At least you know there is a plan in place and you have time to get your head around a c-section. So you will get gender scan in 2 and a half weeks time? Amazing how quick it is coming round. Time feels like it is going SO slowly for me!

Totally get @DKDK123 how you couldn't wait that long for the NHS scan. It does seem late! But at least you get to see little one twice. Have you told your son yet?? Can't wait to hear his response.

@Franklydear Nightmare you have covid in the house. Hope the vaccines work and protect you and DH. Glad your son is looking on the positive side of things. I am a teacher and it is throughout schools still across all year groups.

@Juno231 Line was looking darker, thanks for asking. So still just hoping for the best. Your appointment today sounds very fast after all that waiting. Do you feel any more prepared because of it? You seem very chill about the procedure tbh. Hope you get through the rest of your busy week. Although planting trees instead of being at work could be fun?

Welcome @xoJellyBean. Sounds like you haven't had the easiest of journeys so far. I hope you get help with fibroid and glad to hear you have a half decent doctor now! Your story 🙈😳. Do people ask you about TTC now? Imagine announcing you were pregnant by just uploading the test you do to insta stories though!

@Vil10 That sounds exciting about the renovation project. Is your OH on board with a renovation? I would absolutely love a project like that, you could design the house to suit your needs perfectly. We would have liked to do something like that but houses where we are are selling for tens of thousands over asking, the market is just wild. So we wouldn't be able to get one and have the money to renovate. We ended up getting a new build as it is a fixed price. But maybe one day we will do the renovation. I hope your viewings go well! I don't feel organised for our move at all. We are packing everything ourselves (although haven't really started yet 🤦‍♀️) but do have movers booked thankfully. Have you started packing yet? Sounds like a nightmare having to move in with parents again especially whilst TTC but hopefully it will be worth it for that perfect house!
Also after I was referred to fertility clinic it took a couple of weeks for a letter to come through but all the letter said was that I had been referred and that I was on the waiting list which was 12 weeks. I then did get my appointment letter through after about 10 weeks with an appointment in a few weeks time, so it was about a 12 week wait once I was on the list.

Good luck for tomorrow @paintfairy, I really hope this is your time 🤞

@gcat16 Sorry to hear you have had such a rough time since moving. Would you consider trying another school or are you done with teaching? I have been teaching for 10 years and it is bloody hard but I love it. The class you have makes such a difference so every year is so different. If you don't want to go back to teaching then I think you might as well just go for this other job. You can always give it a go and see if might be something you would like to do and potentially go back post maternity. You certainly have lots to think about but all positive hopefully!

All still good with me (I think). I am so bloated and have sore boobs/nips. POAS this morning and the line is darker and the control line is getting slightly lighter so hopefully I might be on my way to getting a dye stealer. I also gagged whilst brushing my teeth last night if that is a positive sign?
