Hi, I’m new to all this so let me explain why I’m asking. Before April of this year my periods were not easy but not a big deal. I didn’t really have a build up, I just got sore boobs a day or two before then awful cramping on day one, over within a few days. We then found out I was pregnant which was a massive shock as my husband had been told he’d never be able to have children naturally. Unfortunately we miscarried at 9 weeks, which was devastating. A month after we decided that if it happened once it could happen again so we needed to be in the best health we could. To help his sperm and my eggs (I’m late thirties) we started taking proceive. Apart from bright yellow wee they’ve been good (I have lovely nails now!). What I’m wondering is whether anyone else experiences more symptoms pre period with them or whether I’m just imagining it? The hospital said I’d have funny periods and pms for the first three months after the miscarriage, but then the fourth was a breeze again, back to normal. This month however I feel like I’m going crazy and probably about to share too much 🤦🏻‍♀️. I have insanely sore boobs and my nipples, man alive they are sensitive to the point they are sore. I nearly cried at a video of Angela merkel this morning saying good bye to France and I don’t even like her. I had really bad cramps the other day which is mega early for me and now nothing. When I was telling my husband to stop hugging me last night because of how sore my boobs were he asked whether I thought I was pregnant. I did a test this morning dpo 9 (I know far too early but he got me thinking) and it was negative as expected. I think these symptoms are too early to be pregnancy related. I don’t think I’m pregnant so can only think of one other thing that’s different to before the miscarriage and that’s the vitamins. Please tell me I’m not imagining feeling like this and other people have the same side effects? Thank you for reading all of that!!!! 😄

Hi @CRMB95. I’d completely forgotten about this post, life has been a bit hectic for the past couple of years. I did fall pregnant again in June 2022. We’d actually stopped trying and started the adoption process the month before. Annoying that the age old advice of ‘stop trying and just relax’ actually worked. 🤦🏻‍♀️ We now have a 17 month old who keeps us busy. Not sure if the proceive helped conceive but I’m glad I took them as I do feel they contributed towards a healthy egg. I’ve been taking proceive breastfeeding vitamins and will be swapping to the conception one again. My periods are better than before, I have no clue what was going on with them.

Good luck with conceiving, I hope they work for you!

Hi thank you so much for responding, I'm so so pleased to hear you got your little bundle of joy in the end, its such a long and hard journey so I'm just glad to hear some positivity right now,
Thank you for the advice, I will continue to take it for a few months and see if it makes any difference, just struggling with the heart ache and hope of every month right now, we've had an initial fertility appointment under NHS now and they've basically told us the same thing to relax an stop testing for ovulation etc but just so hard to do that in the moment, anyway, thank you for the response and good luck for the future 😊

Struggling to conceive is one of the hardest things we go through @CRMB95. We get a reminder every month so we can’t forget about it. Be kind to yourself and I know it’s easier said than done but don’t put too much pressure on. I’m living proof that the advice of relaxing does work, as annoying as that is. I hope you get what you want.

@CRMB95 not sure if you will see this as it was last year you were posting... I've been looking for someone with a similar experience of Proceive, and it sounds like you have. I started taking Proceive this month, and my period has come 3 days early, meaning I've only had a 24 day cycle this month. Did you continue taking them and straighten out, or did you stop? I'm not sure whether to keep them up or not! Thanks x
