Hi everyone.

This month I suffered a terrible bereavement around the time I usually ovulate (cd13/14). We had unprotected sex CD10, but then we were very disengaged in ttc because of the bereavement.

I had fertile signs again from CD18-20 (lots of Egg white mucus) and therefore assumed this to be my ovulation happening late because I usually completely dry up after O. We didn't have sex again at all this month, other than CD10.

I am now on cd23 and yesterday and today have felt very nauseous. I thought I was completely out this month so I hadn't even considered the possibility I might be pregnant. I assumed it to just be grief related, but I just decided to do a quick test out of curiosity and this is it, attached. Can anyone else see something here or am I going mad?

To be honest I still feel so grief stricken, I'm just not sure what to make of this right now. Honest opinions welcomed please.

Line eyes please (I have no idea how this is possible)

Hurrah. So pleased for you. Great to have a concrete positive from a digital so no second guessing about lines!

How many weeks are you?

PeacefulDreams · 03/11/2021 16:34

Aw just seen your update. Congratulations!

Waahingwashingwashing · 03/11/2021 16:50

Aw congrats!

OooohAhhhh · 03/11/2021 17:58

Aw this just made me smile! Huge congrats!

Mummybearto3bg · 03/11/2021 19:15

Congrats! I had very similar, ovulated on the 23rd but then about 5 days later I absolutely huge amount of ewcm that I thought I must of ovulated and now I am. Got a positive test this morning, making me 10dpo. Congrats again :)

Hi everyone. Thanks for all your well wishes!! So I guess today is CD28 and no idea when I ovulated so no idea of timing. After I got the BFP on a digital on Wednesday, yesterday I began spotting brown. One fairly big 'blob' of brown yesterday lunch and since then, just flecks of brown when I wipe. I'm remaining hopeful that it's just old implantation blood. Any thoughts? And similar stories? If I ovulated at the earlier time, I'd be 13/14 dpo. Thanks in advance

Hi OP sorry to hear your experiencing the brown cm. it could well be implantation bleeding/irritation. Spotting can be normal at the binging of pregnancy but do keep an eye out for any other signs of discomfort just incase. Try and stay away from the tests and take each day as it comes. I've read many many threads of brown/red spotting in the early days but just be extra vigilant. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

Whalewhisperer · 06/11/2021 18:54

@november90 thank you. It slowed down on day 2 and has been very light today, changing to completely dry as a bone this evening. I am experiencing so much cramping, much more painful than AF. Its very hard not to over think everything isn't it! I'll remember to update in a couple of weeks as I hate when threads like this don't show an outcome, but in the meantime if anyone else wants to share their experience of their CM and cramping in the very early weeks and reassure me, that'd be just great!

If the spotting isn't turning in to anything, OP, it sounds like your body just getting rid of some old blood. Hope everything is still OK for you this morning xx

Hetyanni · 07/11/2021 07:05

My friend had chemicals then bled through the early stages of both of her pregnancies with her two healthy children. Fingers crossed for you!

ByeBumpHiBaby · 07/11/2021 07:19

I cramped so much during my pregnancies, especially in the early days!

I used to actually put off testing because I'd cramp so much during the night it would wake me and I'd be convinced AF would have arrived by morning but nope! Just everything stretching and getting habitable Grin

I'm very sorry for your loss, and I wish you a healthy pregnancy Thanks

Whalewhisperer · 08/11/2021 13:06

Thank you everyone for your support and encouragement. Still pregnant today, so I'm celebrating that! :). I'll definitely update if anything changes.

And the spotting has stopped completely right now.

@Whalewhisperer how have you got on OP? ♥️

ThirdElephant · 17/11/2021 04:42

Congratulations! FWIW, pregnancy can cause a ton of mucus so you probably ovulated at your normal time.

Whalewhisperer · 17/11/2021 04:43

@november90 still pregnant and no more bleeding, touch wood. I have a scan booked early December so I'll update after that :). Thanks for checking in on me.

Whalewhisperer · 17/11/2021 04:45

@ThirdElephant yes maybe you're right! Maybe the scan will be able to tell us more!

Hi everyone. I deleted this mumsnet account and have NC back to Whalewhisperer to update the thread for those who stumble across it in the future. Unfortunately this ended in a missed miscarriage. I had a scan at what should have been 6+3 and there was no heartbeat. Another at what should have been 7+3 and the baby had a hearbeat, but was measuring small and by a week later at the next scan it had stopped. I eventually passed the pregnancy naturally on Christmas eve. Now ttc again. x
