Please help!
I had 3 positive pregnancy tests a week ago and my partner and I were absolutely thrilled!! I then started to spot a couple of days ago and was monitoring it. I did another test which came back positive. The next day (yesterday) I began to experience severe abdominal pain. I looked in the toilet and there were blood clots so I was sure I was having an early miscarriage. I took a pregnancy test this morning and it came back negative. I was very confused that the hcg hormone would leave my system so quickly so I went doctors today to get answers. I was basically told after a blood test and urine sample that I was never pregnant and hcg was not detected! I explained the 4 positive results to which the doctor said sometimes pharmacy tests aren’t always accurate! But 4 really! I also wanted some answers for the severe abdominal pain to which he said must have been bad period pains.
I just know my body and how it felt and I really thought I was pregnant. Especially after 4 positive tests.
Can anyone shed some light on this? I’m emotionally drained and very confused!
I just want a baby 😢

I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. After my chemical I tested negative almost immediately after starting spotting. I don't know why your GP said you weren't pregnant, the only thing they can say is they can't detect a pregnancy or hcg levels but that doesn't mean it wasn't there two days before.

The hcg may have dropped before you started bleeding, so may still have been detectable just before the bleed but got low enough by the next test for a bfn. I don't know why your gp was so certain you were never pregnant Confused but that might depend on how far along you thought you were (obviously the further along you are, the more hcg you would have had).

I'm so sorry Flowers

I thought it may have been a chemical pregnancy. I should have asked the dr if it could have been that but was a bit in shock at the time. Your responses have made me feel like I’m not going mad! Thank you so much
