Hello,
I am 28 and my partner and I want to start trying for a baby after Christmas. I am already filling my head with worry that I’m infertile.
Recently I have started to pay more attention to my body and I’m concerned as to why I no longer experience ovulation pain or see any cervical mucus, in previous years of my life both happened every month, why would they just stop?
I have a light but regular cycle, I track this using Flo which also says I have a normal and regular cycle. Because of the app I roughly know my ovulation days but I don’t notice any changes in my body. We aren’t using any contraception, I previously used the copper coil for five years and this was removed about 4 month ago.
To try put my mind at rest I paid for a fertility blood test which I did on the second day of my period as instructed. All results came back as normal except LH which was “borderline high at 13.6 IU/L”, I know this hormone plays a key part in ovulation so now I’m more worried! I have bought some ovulation test strips which I will try this month.
I can’t remember when I stopped noticing the cervical mucus so it’s hard to think what has changed.
I have been experiencing recurrent thrush for the past 8 or 9 months, mainly (but not always) I find just at the end of my period is when it flares up). Thrush has been confirmed by a swab and I am waiting on the results of a second swab to then hopefully start some longer term treatment. I am also having a HBA1C blood test this Friday. Could thrush be causing my problems?
I take no medications, healthy weight, no underlying medication conditions. I did have chlamydia about 5 years ago and unsure how long I had it before having treatment, this worries me also as I know it can affect fertility. I do however know that I have noticed cervical mucus after this time.
I hope I am just been silly worrying, reading online says how important cervical mucus in when getting pregnant. Am I right to be concerned and if so what steps could I take?
Thank you

Make sure you drink enough water as it affects mucus. Also grapefruit juice is known to increase EWCM by a lot! I imagine the recurrent thrush and treatment may have reduced it.

If you want to check you ovulate - consider temping. It should show. I also think its likely you ovulate correctly given the normal cycles!
