AF due same time as withdrawal bleed ?!

Hope someone can help who may be in a similar situation.

I came off the pill 3rd September and then my period (WD bleed started 5th September).

Does anyone know if the next AF I am expecting is going to be the same time as my WD bleed? I am due on 5th October if that's the case but currently having no PMS symptoms at all (usually get serious mood swings, stomach pains and headaches #fun)

I hope that makes sense what I'm trying to explain. Thank you if anyone can help DaffodilBrew taken a test yesterday and had a BFN without even a faint line.

I dont understand the question @Pugmumm - you only have a withdrawal bleed once after you stop the pill. From then on its just a period.

@TheDaydreamBelievers thanks, I've had my withdrawal bleed already (5th September) but yet to receive my normal period and I'm unsure if this should be due around the same time?

I think I've just got to sit and wait for it to arrive Confused

Ah right @Pugmumm - do you know what your cycle was like before you went on the pill? Cycles on the pill are artificial - induced by the hormones they contain. So it might not be the same timings. Coming off the pill can also make your cycles a little unusual for a while.

Thanks @TheDaydreamBelievers ! I was about 28 days. At the moment it's been 31 since stopping the pill early September, no signs of even coming on at all.

I'll have to see what happens this week if AF doesn't show I'll probably end up taking a test but imagine it's all to do with coming off the pill.

@Pugmumm so a slightly longer cycle length but overall pretty normal! It's okay to be disappointed but remember that even if you have loads of sex ar perfect timings, your likelihood of conceiving in a particular month are about 25-30%. Its early days!

Pugmumm · 07/10/2021 10:24

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you so much I for your response. Is that likely hood percentage just due to coming off the pill or is that normal?

We are trying again this month but not getting hopes up Smile

When I went off the pill a few months ago my first period came exactly 28 days after the last withdrawal bleed. And my periods before the pill were all over the place. I don't think it's a rule that periods will follow the 28 days cycle you had on the pill though. It might take your body a few months to adjust.

Pugmumm · 07/10/2021 10:58

Thanks @JudgementalCactus it's certainly taking a couple of months. I think I'll probably be back to normal end of the year or early next year. I just wish I had come off the pill earlier to give my body time to adjust before we started trying.

It's very annoying when you read things online about how quickly others have been able to conceive after stopping the pill (1st month). Fingers crossed for everyone Smile xx
