Confusing digital tests

Hi everyone,

So I have an 8 month old beautiful little boy who we fell pregnant with after 13 years of trying. We decided to start trying again in August as we would love him to have a sibling.
My periods have been 33 or 35 days since he was born and then this month I missed my period.

I have done a few clear blue strips with faint positives so then I got a early digital voear blue that says pregnant. 2 days later (today) I did another strip tesco test that's faint but panicked and did a clear blue digital weeks test straight after (2nd wee of the day) but it came back negative... Help I'm so confused I've already referred to the midwifes due to positive test and period still not come now 14 days late today.

Am I going insane, is it likley that I'm not pregnant? Help as I'm going insane

Could you have had a chemical / early miscarriage? If so I imagine you would soon start bleeding.

It could just be that the concentration of HCG wasn’t as strong when you took the digital (if you’d drank too much water etc in between) as I do think they typically take longer to show a positive.

You could contact your GP to see if they will do bloods to check your HCG levels, but they might just ask you to wait it out a bit.

Good luck, I hope it works out for you!

I’ve just realised your first digital was an early response one - that’s most likely why that showed but not the weeks one, you could just be too early for the weeks one. You could get another digital one like the first one you took for confirmation.

at 14 days late i'd expect it to be a pretty strong positive so it does sound like a chemical. but if you still haven't bled i'd try and speak to the GP
