Predicted day of ovulation today (positive OPK) yesterday.

Would anyone like to join me on the TWW?

Do you think I DTD enough? Maybe tomorrow too?😂

Hi can I join, not really sure what I am joining for but it would be fun to see how you all get on. Bit of back story I have two children 17 and 14 (had two mc between then) new partner and I have been ttc since July 2019 we have managed to conceive 3 times in that time but all ended in mc sadly. Had appointment yesterday with fertility clinic and I am set to start clomid after my next af (so end of October ish), just have to have my tubes dye checked first after my next period which is due 30/09 but always nice to go through this journey with others

Radrose · 14/09/2021 18:26

@eastview if the antibiotics are only 5 days, then I imagine you'd be finished them by the time implantation would happen? So you might be OK?I'm at a wedding this Friday, and that's the logic I'm using so I don't feel guilty having a drink or two.

Have you guys made any major dietary changes or anything for the ttc journey? I've just been taking some supplements, but other than that just eating as normal.

@bbd72 I can imagine the last 2 years have been incredibly tough on you! Here's hoping the next steps do the trick!

Mummytobe93 · 14/09/2021 19:54

I’ve been on “conception” vitamins plus folic acid for 3 months now . Since my BMI probably classifies my as plus size I’m taking additional folic acid , I’ve heard somewhere that plus size ladies should take an hour xtra dose.

dogmum02 · 14/09/2021 20:24

@Radrose I am taking folic acid and my DH is taking fertility vitamins. I haven't really changed my diet as I wasn't sure if it would really help!

Cruz86 · 14/09/2021 20:43

Hey, do you mind if I join? I'm not tracking ovulation and only had one day of ewcm 5 days ago, so I could be 4-5dpo or I could be 1-2dpo or I may not have ovulated at all yet 😂 But CD18 of a very regular 28 day cycle so we'll see.

Sorry to hear about the mc's and ectopic pregnancy. I'm very fortunate that I've never had to go through it before and can't even begin to imagine how hard it is. My 4 year old was conceived on the third cycle (with proper ovulation tracking) and I'm only on my second cycle since deciding to 'loosely' start trying for #2. But we all know, in reality, you can't help but symptom spot and convince yourself you are pregnant!!

Really hope there are some bfps over the next couple of weeks ☺️

eastview · 14/09/2021 22:52

@Radrose I'm doing low carb/keto. I don't think they recommend for when you're pregnant but I have PCOS and it's really helped regulate my cycles and I love it! I take vitamin D, inositol and folic acid ❤️ hey everyone new! Love how many people have joined 😃

@Mummytobe93 I've been taking the pregnacare conception supplements and I have the OH taking the Wellman ones. We started on them back in July as preparation. I hadn't realised about the folic acid though, I'd be considered overweight on the BMI scale, so may look into that.

@dogmum02 I'm the same with our general diet, I've cut back on my caffeine intake, but that's it. I just don't really know how helpful it would be.

@eastview I don't think I could manage a low carb diet, even if someone paid me to do it! I have great admiration for anyone who has the will power!!

I've had the strangest nights sleep, dreaming of positive pregnancy tests 😂 Had to remind myself it wasn't real when I woke up.

JesssG · 15/09/2021 08:28

Hey can I join on here too? :)

I am currently 7DPO and trying to be chilled out about testing haha. I will probably test on Friday as I will be 9DPO and my AF is due on Monday. This is my 2nd month trying for baby number 1!

Hate the TWW! Feel like I’ve had a few symptoms but really don’t want to get my hopes up! Hope everyone is doing well :)

eastview · 15/09/2021 08:35

@Radrose well I wasn't feeling great yesterday so I had a dominos! Definitely regretting that now 🤦‍♀️😂 how is everyone feeling today? I've been sleeping GREAT the last few days!

Welcome 🖐️ @cruz86 and @JesssG

@JesssG I'm going to avoid testing at all, unless my period is late 😂 Will see how I go with that though! So basically, if I mention testing before Sept 27th just roll your eyes!

@eastview Pizza sounds delicious right now, we were very healthy last night. Chops and potatoes. Not my general style of cooking but I think my OH was happy to have something plainer for a change!

So when does the symptom spotting start to ramp up! I'm assuming it wouldn't really be till 10dpo? So anything I notice before then can just be put down to the usual cycle stuff?

dogmum02 · 15/09/2021 09:40

@JesssG we have been trying for 6 months and I test at 9dpo every month without fail 😂 however, every month I am convinced I see a line so obsess over testing until my period eventually shows. If you can wait a few more days, it will honestly feel better!

@Radrose I try and tell myself not to symptom spot until at least 8dpo but I personally don't actually see any harm in it 🤷‍♀️ ttc is stressful enough, we might as well allow us some hope for a few days!

Cruz86 · 15/09/2021 09:45

I literally symptom spot from 1dpo 😂 but I did get a positive with my first when I was 9dpo so I figured the symptoms must have started earlier than people say! And line eyes are definitely a real thing!

Radrose · 15/09/2021 09:49

@dogmum02 I've a feeling I'll probably drive myself batty over the next 2 weeks. I've planned stuff every day out to next Monday, which I think will be 7dpo. At least I'll have one week out of the way!

@Cruz86 I've been reading so many threads with people trying to figure out if lines are there or not! I'm not looking forward to the stress of that at all!!

dogmum02 · 15/09/2021 09:58

@Radrose it is very difficult but I honestly believe the 2 weeks waiting for ovulation is the worst part of the month. At least we have some hope in the tww! I'm going to try and wait until the 24th to test but I am sure I will end up testing earlier 😂 my only tip would be to avoid a frer until at least after 10/11dpo. Every frer I have ever used has had a line which is just an indent. It was so dark that it actually showed up in photos every month and gave me lots of false hope that it was an early positive!

Radrose · 15/09/2021 10:12

@dogmum02 I have a set of the Clear Blue tests in the bathroom and the plan is that they are the only tests that I'm buying before next months cycle 😂 I sound like I have all this self control but you'll see me running to boots next week to pick up more 'just in case'.

I definitely found the testing for ovulation quite stressful, I felt like I was never going to ovulate. Then the OH went out on Sat night and was too hungover to DTD on Sunday or Monday, which was very annoying when I eventually got the static smiley and he was in no mood 😂😂 Thus it's a 'practice run'

eastview · 15/09/2021 10:49

I bought a big pack of ovulation and pregnancy tests online (25 of each) just cheapies so it's hard not to use them early 🤣 I still always end up buying clear blue digitalis because I'm so convinced every month anyway! I dread to think the amount spent over the last 2 years! Feeling really hopeful this month tho 🙏 and going to try to hold off from testing until AF due 😂❤️

Radrose · 15/09/2021 11:10

I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you! I'm currently getting distracted from work by amazon... Contemplating buying a box of cheap tests from there, but I've a feeling that could end up developing an addiction!!

Mummytobe93 · 15/09/2021 11:12

Yeah, the wait is killing me already, only 4 DPO😩
I try not to symptom spotting but it’s my first cycle trying so not sure what’s different now..
TMI but I’ve had some loose bowel movements and very little to no CM.

In the other hand I’ve seen a video from a OB who explained that basically until the implementation happens, your body doesn’t know about the pregnancy so any symptoms until then are just bout imagination 😂

With this in mind I’ll patiently wait until at least Tuesday to test.

Babyghirl · 15/09/2021 11:16

@eastview
Been reading through the thread and read you have an infection not to get your hopes up but anytime I have been pregnant I have always developed like a uti or some other infection they say your body shuts down for baby to implant goodluck I have had 4 miscarriages and 1 cp so still ttc num 1.
@Radrose
I have had dreams of a positive test to and that's the months I have got my positive test goodluck to u to 💚

Radrose · 15/09/2021 11:28

@Mummytobe93 we can keep eachother strong till next week!! Then I'll just have to develop some willpower to get me through to the following Tuesday 😂

@Babyghirl I'm so sorry to hear about your MC and CP. To be honest I'd never heard of a Chemical Pregnancy before reading some of the threads here in the last 2 weeks or so. It's the kinda thing I feel should be covered in school or something. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the dream was a good omen! ❤️

dogmum02 · 15/09/2021 11:38

@Radrose @eastview I actually like the cheap Amazon tests! It satisfies my testing habits and doesn't cost a fortune! I don't actually have any expensive tests in the house and am not planning on getting any until at least Wednesday next week!

The month I got pregnant I didn't actually feel any different to any other month so don't feel disheartened if you don't get any symptoms! Everyone is different 🥰

beckybabyx · 15/09/2021 12:27

Hi everyone, hope it's okay if i join. I've used the clearblue digital ovulation (dual hormone) this month and had my LH surge Friday 10th September so I think i am 4/5 dpo today and the wait is driving me crazy!!! xx

cheezy · 15/09/2021 12:48

I'm 1 DPO so I will join. 5th cycle of trying. Age 38.

eastview · 15/09/2021 12:50

@Babyghirl ooh that's interesting isn't it!! I am so sorry to hear MCs. I've had 2 and still no baby yet (we have none) so I'm really hopeful yet scared 🤞only 2/3 DPO today, this is going to be a long wait!
