Morning all

Like the tilte says really

I am considering getting a wearable BBT as have been doing my morning BBT for the last 13 months and just wanted something more easier and convient.

We are in the process of waiting to been seen in the recruitment miscarriage clinic but this is not going to be till earliest FEBRUARY next year :(

I have seen Ava and ovusense but can't seem to decide between the too. I like that the ava app is free but the charts to me are hard to read, whereas the ovusense charts as sooooo much clearer but the device and the app subscribe are so expensive :(

I seem to have a 28 day cycle, appear to have late ovulation ranging between cd 17 to 20 and I have a short letual phase of 10 days or less (hasn't seem to stop us falling pregnant though, just keeping seems to be the issue)

Not on any medication as of yet.

Has anyone used either of these devices or anyother they could give their experience on x

Thanks all

No advice but also interested in an easier way to temp so jumping on so I see any replies!

Misschanandlerbong20 · 09/09/2021 09:22

I've been using the OvuSense ovucore sensor this month and it makes temping so much easier, especially if you're one of them people that wakes up a lot in the night, I highly recommend it!

Juno231 · 09/09/2021 09:26

I'll caveat by saying that I don't wear them but from looking at tonnes of charts over the last couple of years and seeing what others have said - ovusense definitely seems to be the better option as the skin temp taken by Ava can be very unreliable/irregular.

Juno231 · 09/09/2021 09:28

If you don't like the cost of the ovusense app then I'd say tempdrop is supposed to be more accurate than Ava!

Thanks guys for your help so far
I have seen tempdrop but thought it was only available in the US? I be definitely be having a look into this

Should have known you'd be knowledgable about charting @Juno231!

@Sandiesands I was just reading up on the ovusense, what does the app do? Any ideas if you can just use the sensor without an app subscription?

Angie887 · 09/09/2021 16:13

I use ovusense and highly recommend it. It's extremely accurate and not having to get up same time every morning it's a big bonus for me. The only downside is their app as I think it's quite expensive and it always get my ovulation confirmation wrong. But I use the data on FF and it works very well.

Misschanandlerbong20 · 09/09/2021 16:48

It's given me an ovulation date 2 days later than fertility friend 🙄 but I like that I don't have to get up at same time every day 👍🏻

Sandiesands · 10/09/2021 07:28

@larrythelizard unfortunately I don't think I can use the app without paying for an subscription inoder to use their algorithm?.

I am so tempted to get the ovusense, they state on their website that they can detect ovulation 24 hours in advance which seems so appealing to me.

But I have had a read few reviews like @Angie887 saying it's not getting the ovulation date correct :(
Also @Angie887 is it uncomfortable to wear? And do you find it an inconvenience to remove and wear each night?

I have seen ovusense selling a wearable BBT like the tempdrop called the ovufirst. Has anyone used this device?? x

Thank you all for your help so far

I think I am looking for something easy, quick, convenient like attaching it to my arm or wrist like the AVA or ovufirst but I want it to be accurate and reliable which I feel the ovusense is.

Which is why I am so torn. Confused

If they all cost like 50 quid then I would get too and see which one I like more lol but they are like 100 to 160 pounds so wanna make sure I'm making the right choice

@Sandiesands it's not uncomfortable at all if inserted correctly.
The ovulation prediction which ovusense provides often changes or dissappear altogether if your cycles aren't regular as there's no way to predict ovulation using bbt. It's only possible to confirm ovulation once bbt rises and usually it's already too late to DTD. Ovusense app isn't reliable but the data is. So if you use the data on another app such as fertility friend it should work very well.
