Hi all I'm a bit confused about pregnancy weeks. So I'm only 9dpo and I've tested positive. The clear blue test says 1 to 2 weeks but if I enter the date of my last period to the online nhs due date calculator it says I'm 3 weeks and 4 days pregnant. This is first pregnancy and still very early so also worried I will miscarry so won't tell anyone yet. Also at what point do you book to see your gp or tell your gp. Should I wait for another few weeks or months? Thanks all

Nhs calculator counts from furst day if last period a s is standard calculation. CB counts from when you ovulated so typically 2 weeks less. If it says 1-2 you are 3-4.

You add 2 weeks to the pregnancy test weeks so you would be 3-4 weeks pregnant

Hi, congratulations on your pregnancy!
Digital pregnancy tests estimate you at 2 weeks less than you actually are so your dates are more accurate. You want to be having your booking appointment with the midwife generally between 8-10 week of pregnancy so that they can get your scan booked for around 12 weeks so I’d ring in the next couple of weeks to get it all booked in! All the best x

So nhs dating goes by last period as most people have 28 day cycles and ovulate midway. I’d add 2 weeks to ovulation which would make you 3 weeks 2 days. Your midwife will go by last period though and you’ll get an official due date at your 12 week scan! Congratulations Grin
