Long cycles and apparently nothing wrong!

I’m after any advice one this, really hoping someone might have gone through what we are.

I’m 34, hubs is 39. We have been trying or rather not preventing for 3+ years. I’ve had all my hormones checked, my progesterone checked, internal and external ultrasounds, hubs has had his sperm analysis and hormones checked…everything is apparently normal. We have tried tracking everything and also relaxing and not doing anything other than having sex when we feel like it and nothing seems to work.

However, my cycles still vary wildly! For example, this round I’m currently on cycle day 48! They range anywhere from 32 days to 56! Usually are around the 38 day mark.

The doc says there isn’t anything they can do. I’ve been referred to a gynaecologist at the hospital in January and to be honest I don’t really know why or what more they can do.

Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks

Hayley

Hi

I'm in a similar boat. Cycles range from 27 to 36 days. Just had bloods done and ultrasound. My bloods were pointing towards pcos but ultrasound was clear. My testosterone levels are slightly raised but not excessively. I'm awaiting referral to gynaecology.
Ive started myoinositol to try and regulate my cycles and for the second month in a row I've ovulated around CD12 giving me a shorter cycle. I also take folic acid, vitamin d, zinc and co-Q10.
Do you track ovulation with OPKs or BBT?

Hayhobillyo · 22/08/2021 11:09

@LemonDrizzle44 I’ve used opks and clear blue advanced a lot and also did 6 months with ovusense which confirmed I was ovulating. I haven’t tried the tablet you mentioned but do take folic acid. I can’t take the multi vitamins as they make me vomit a few hours after taking them! X

I assume no PCOS?

LemonDrizzle44 · 22/08/2021 14:24

@Hayhobillyo I can't take multivitamins either as get headaches. So I've selected what I think will be most helpful zinc helps with generally fertility and hormones. CoQ10 for egg quality.
It may be worth trialling myoinositol (I bought some from amazon), 40:1 formula is supposedly the best to try and regulate your cycles.

@LemonDrizzle44 thank you, I’ll look them up and give them a try 😊
