Sorry if this just ends up being ranty. On cycle 10 of TTC (2 cycles of just "seeing what happened" before the start of the actively trying 10). I am 30 as is DP so aware not the youngest (or anywhere near the oldest either) we've had some basic tests done privately as I had some (unfounded as it turned out) concerns. My FSH, oestrogen, TSH and LH are all good. My AMH is better than average for my age and an ultrasound of my ovaries and uterus about 2 years ago for other issues was also fine in terms of no cysts etc. I have a bicornuate, retroverted uterus but have been told it shouldn't affect conceiving. DPs sperm was also fine. I am using OPKs to make sure we are DTD at the right time and probably average 3 times a week with more in the fertile window (for example this month I got my first flashing face on day 10; DTD on days 9, 10, 11, 13 and 14. Got my first static face on day 15 and DTD on 16, 17 and 19) cycles are regular at 27-29 days. I am taking a variety of vitamins which tbf are probably good for me even if I wasn't TTC. My only thing to work on is I am overweight by about 1.5 stone. I just feel like each month I am getting more down, there doesn't seem to be a reason why we haven't been successful (and obvs I seem to be surrounded by 1-3 success month friends) and I'm struggling to keep positive. Just wondering if there's any success stories out there or anyone just generally feeling the same :-(

Feeling the same here! Have you gotten the ball rolling with the NHS yet seeing as you've had a year of trying technically?

My two friends had perfect fertility and had years of trying, had to have ivf and both pregnant first go and got lots of embryos on ice. Sometimes it just doesn’t work naturally. Their clinics were stumped why they weren’t getting pregnant

Thanks guys. Haven't started the NHS ball rolling yet but I think that will be the next step after this cycle :-(

I was the same - I was convinced I would fall pregnant pretty quickly as I was young(ish), healthy etc. But DC1 took a year to conceive.

Weirdly, after that I have been pregnant a further 4 times (2 MCs and 2 more DC) and each time I have fallen pregnant either first or second month of trying.

My only possible explanation is that after DC1 was born, I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid. I wonder if I’d actually had it for a few years and that was what caused the hold up with DC1?

Best of luck, I know how gutting it is each month when your period shows up.

We were the same and went down the fertility treatment route, and thankfully were successful. But before we were eligible I had to lose weight.
