Hi! I've used the Dukan diet a few times in my life with great success. I've had three major weight gains as an adult (once during an emotionally stressful phase, once after serious illness, and most recently from comfort eating/lack of activity during during covid lockdown). I have never had any ill effects from the diet and do not go too extreme with it. I started it again in January and have been very successful, and I am at about 60% to my goal weight (which is the BMI = 25 value for me) and being comfortably active. My question is for any fellow dukan dieters out there: DH and I are trying to conceive, so I believe I need to make a change to best support that goal. I am thinking I could go to the consolidation phase diet plus switch to whole dairy and (along with the usual TTC vitamin supplements) that would be a good, healthy approach while trying and while hopefully some day pregnant, but without backsliding on the weight-losses I've achieved thus far. I know maintaining a healthy weight is super important for having babies, but I am also toward the end of my childbearing years, so I don't really want to wait another 6 months to reach my goal weight before TTC. Any kind advice will be much appreciated!
