Mooncup TTC

Hi all,

We have been TTC since October last year without much luck. I am 38 in a few months so beginning to get a bit anxious now. Someone told me about using a moon cup for TTC. Wondering if anyone has any experience with this? I tried it last cycle and it didnt work. Just wondering if it could be counter productive because when I pull it out the next morning there seems to be some white deposits in it. Just wondering if this is sperm that I am pulling out of my cervix which would have otherwise been hanging around waiting to fertilise my egg? There seems to be some great feedback and success stories online about using the mooncup so I am really confised? Thanks x

You're def not pulling swimmers out of your womb - apart from anything the cervix isn't where your egg will get fertilised!

However, try using something like the ferti lily instead - it is actively for this purpose and has a different shape so it keeps the deposit up by the cervix rather than catching it and letting it sit several centimetres below the way a mooncup would.

I'm not sure it actually makes a difference if you BD normally, I think these things are possible more beneficial for people going down the insemination route.

Also have you spoken to your GP yet? At 38 you should have gotten the ball rolling on investigations at the 6 month mark. No time to lose and the NHS process is long so best get started on that asap.

Had never heard of the ferti lily cup. Have ordered mine, thank you. Good luck OP.
