Hi!
My partner and I just had a failed attempt at Wolfson Fertility centre.
We are thinking maybe trying there again or moving to a different clinic, does anybody have any feedback from Lister/ Create Wimbledon/ Wolfson or CRGH? Distance does present a problem as we are both working but we also want to have the best chance possible with the best professionals, so I'm torn deciding where to go next.
Any suggestions, comments are super welcome as I'm going crazy trying to decide :)
thanks!

@lauchi93 I can’t help very much but I’ll be starting with Lister in September/October. It’s been a good experience so far, obviously I’ve not done my first round yet but fingers crossed the good experience will continue. They have a satellite clinic at the Shard so I’m hoping to use that clinic for scans because it’s nearer to me. I’m also 38 by the way!

@thislittlebird best of luck!!! it is a very intense process and I hope you have the best treatment at Lister, I was researching them based on some positive comments I read so will continue to investigate, thank you!! :)

I had IVF at Reprofit in the Czech Republic at 37. Worked first time, but took some holiday and traveling maybe difficult at the moment.

MadKittenWoman · 26/07/2021 19:17

37, worked first time. DS now 21.

Even though your IVF failed, it may have answered questions which will help your next round, personally I only have experience of staying with the same consultant. Our 1st round failed, 2nd round successful, 2nd round would have been cancelled if it had been my 1st. I didn’t respond to the drugs, grew hardly any follicles but because my consultant knew fertilisation could be achieved from the 1st round, he went ahead with my 3 follicles, 1 of those is my DS born when I was 38. Good luck with whatever you decide.

@Fastforwardtospring so nice to read happy stories as IVF is a very difficult process. if I may ask where did you have treatment?

Hi! I'm 39, and stuck at the stage you're in right now for months! I've been trying to decide on a clinic for so long, but I am close to a decision now (at least I think so...) It's hard to decide, at least for me, I have built it up so much in my mind. Good luck, try as much as possible to be calm.

lauchi93 · 02/08/2021 09:04

Hi @IsabelHerna thanks for your kind words :) which one did you go for in the end?
I made an appointment with CRGH in the end so crossed finders
thanks!

Hiya!

I have feedback on Wolfson. I noticed that they have a bad rep on here but I couldn’t praise them enough. My DS is 2.5 and from a cycle we did in 2018. Im just getting ready to go for another cycle there since we have a fair few embryos. Rang them last week, booked consultation a few days later, preliminary protocol already decode and having scan next week.
I went through 4 cycles before this. 1st was no fertilisation so we did a second cycle with ICSI but I hyper stimulated so we froze all the embryos. First actual transfer did work and second transfer finally worked.

I would highly recommend Mr. Salim. He’s always so reassuring at the review appointment. There is so much trial and error with IVF and so many things you discover along the way and it’s so important to find a clinic you trust.

Good luck with your decision ☺️

Hi @Chrischross
I will check this Doctor, if you don’t mind me asking were you over 37 at the time? My only concern is their success rate for 38 and over but they are the closest to us
thanks!

You're right, their results for over 38s are below the national average. I was under 38 for my cycles and even those results were below the national average at the time but what swayed me was the results for frozen cycles. Has the HFEA reports been any useful in helping you narrow down your choice?
