My first message here, hello! Hoping to be a mum soon, I’m 38 and have been trying to conceive for about 3 years. We finally did a test and found my partner has a low count but also sadly there is a problem with my tubes (one maybe both) something about water and other obstructions which means they need to be cauterised before IVF can happen.
My question is (without going into more unnecessary detail) if I have a high ovarian reserve (the only silver lining here - about 8 or 12) will I have the same chance of successful ICSI as a younger person?
I was shocked to see success rates decrease to dramatically. Anyone here with high ovarian reserve have a successful pregnancy at 38 though ICSI first time?
Success stories would be very encouraging to me right now x

@missscarlet1 yes you still have a good chance at 38. Your clinic should publish the stats for your age group on their website and if you speak to them they should be able to give you a bit more of an idea based on your individual circumstances
