'More prone to blood clots' - chemical pregnancies

Morning,

I just wondered if anybody has ever had the same diagnosis, following fertility bloods with the GP.

My go took my bloods as I've been TTC for over a year with many chemical pregnancies, unfortunately.

I had my results phonecall this morning, and was told that my 'tendency to blood clots' result is higher than the usual baseline, therefore the doctors have spoken to haematology, and they have advised that this could be why I'm getting recurrent CP's because the embryo is trying to attach to my uterus, but the blood flow is getting cut off and therefore 'baby' can't grow, detaches and I get yet another loss.

Has anybody had this diagnosis before and can tell me the next steps / what help there is out there?

I've been referred to the gynaecologist for what I assume will be scans.. and been told to go back for more repeat bloods to check my levels at the end of the month.

In a weird way, I feel relieved to have an 'answer' just hoping there's help out there now.

Hi @rosycheekss I wasn’t given this diagnosis, but after 4 miscarriages did my own research and saw that blood clotting can be an issue with implantation etc.

On that basis and after reading probably hundreds of stories online, I started myself taking 150mg aspirin from 1dpo and got a BFF at 8dpo. I’m now currently nearly 29 weeks pregnant and still taking the aspirin (now with the agreement of my midwife and consultant).

Blood thinners such as aspirin and/or heparin injections are I think the most common treatment for this.

Good luck!
