Hello,

I just wondered if anyone else has had tests (bloods) done for fertility with the doctors before and can help me out.

I've been told by the receptionist team that my results came back, and that some have a '+' against the results whilst others don't.

I don't know exactly what they're testing for anyway, but I'm now worried and don't know what this may mean.

Has anybody had this before? I've now got to wait until Thursday next week before a DR can call me (the surgery aren't great) to explain the results.. so my minds going into overdrive.

Does anybody know exactly what they're testing for and looking for with fertility blood tests? I had 8 tubes taken if that helps.

Please can anybody help?
I just can't stop panicking!!!!!!!

@TheDaydreamBelievers so sorry to hear you're in the same boat!

What's confusing to me is the fact I'm getting such strong lines on the OPK's for no apparent reason.
Here's the OPK's and yesterday mornings FMU pregnancy test (thought I'd rule that out haha)

What do you think?

As I said, some conditions (most commonly PCOS) produce 'false positives' on the OPKs because they make your body produce LH more frequently, so i wonder if thats whats going on?

www.verywellhealth.com/ovulation-kit-tips-for-pcos-patients-2616458

"If you are receiving persistently positive results, it most likely means that your LH levels are abnormally elevated. In such a case, the kit may have little value"

@TheDaydreamBelievers that's interesting, thank you.
Up until now, this month - the past year I've been having normal results and readings on my OPKS. A clear positive followed by a clear decline in the results before they go back down to almost completely negative (can barely see a 2nd line) these tests are the same brand as always..
I have no idea!

@rosycheekss if its just been this month, maybe your body is just having a whacky month?

rosycheekss · 01/07/2021 14:44

@TheDaydreamBelievers perhaps! I don't know what's going on this cycle. But I had the implant for 7 years and had it out just over a year ago, been TTC ever since to no avail..
I wonder if that could have a part to play in this!
