PCOS options NHS?

I am 33 with PCOS. My doctor told me i need to start trying now if i want another baby.

Does anyone have experience trying to conceive with PCOS. Im not having periods so hard to know when/if I'm ovulating.

Is there anything the NHS can do to help before hand?

Ive heard that the NHS only intervene if you have been trying for years etc and had several miscarriages, but wanted to see if someone had a different experience?

Thanks

At my trust if you have a child already then PCOS can only be treated on medical grounds not fertility grouds. So you would need all the other symptoms including cysts. If all you want is Metformin and Clomid then just go to an infertility clinic and they will provide a private prescription.

Depends on your local trust rules. Mine would have prescribed clomid and metformin for when we wanted to conceive DC2

My NHS trust will only prescribe for DC1 and only after 1 year unsuccessful trying. I had a MC in Nov/Dec so for me that is Dec 2021, even though I have periods v v v rarely and seem to ovulate v v v rarely AngrySad.
