3days late, negative tests and sticky wetness

Hi all,
I hope you are keeping well. I started TTC two months ago and for the first time in four years my period was late by six days. Due to the late period, I thought maybe I got lucky, took hundred tests 😅 but all was negative- the period came the sixth day.
Last month, we tried again and I tried to learn about using the cervix to find out ( I am officially fingered out and don’t have a clue how that works). Anyways, I am now three days late and woke up this morning extremely wet with clear discharge but not stretchy.
Is there still hope or should I get my pads ready? I took a test three days ago and it was negative.

Thanks for reading.

@Bia36 hard to say! If you don't know when you've ovulated, you can't know for sure how many dpos you are, so it's just guesswork right? Maybe you ovulated a week later, which wouldn't make you late but maybe 9dpo or so.
I'd suggest starting to track your ovulation for a cycle or two just to get to know your cycles a bit better.

Ah!
Thanks so much. I actually don't know how that is calculated- so time to learn. Thanks for the tips.

@Bia36 I wasn't aware of this either :) I had a lot to learn as well. But basically you have to know how long your luteal phase is. On average it's 14 days, but it doesn't have to be. Your luteal phase will +/- be the same length each month. Some women have a very short luteal phase, 10 days or less, which makes it harder to get pregnant. But all apps calculate with the average 14 days.
