Anyone else taking Agnus Castus ? Any sucess stories ?

I started taking Ac and Epo this month on the recomendation of a friend after 18 months ttc and some very dodgy cycles. Is anyone else takign it or have any AC words of wisdom ?

I'd love to here some sucess stories if there are any.

No i dont think I'll get a monitor but the ov testing sticks are very cheap on ebay, just hope they work!

First Mornign Urine and Ovulation Predictor Kits ... sorru should have said.. you know you get to in to ttc when tyou start refering to your other half as DH ( as i have done frequently )

Anyway, maybe you should do a bit of research and try the agnus castus aswell as the ovulation sticks ?

Fantastic news worzsel ! Looks like the AC has worked a treat. Did you find out where your friend got it from ? I am taking EPO this month to help with EWCM as got none last month. Also plan to use opks to get an idea of when/if I ovulate.
My main point of interest in this thread is the spotting issue. I also have between 3-6 days of spotting pre-af and am very interested to see that this is common and should be investigated. What sorts of issues can this be a sign of ? Have only just started ttc but don't want to waste my time for 12+ months if there are problems that need attention... Any tips or advice will be most welcome as am very much a newbie

Mibbes - you can get AC from holland and barratt. can't help you with the spotting though I'm afraid. Have you tried googling it?

I have bought some AC- 500mg capsules, how much should I take? the guy in the herbal shop said one a day, but that doesn't seem like much! And i'm on day 8 now, ov on day 15. can I start now or should i wait til next cycle?

My Agnus Castus came from www.healthydirect.com/ there.

i got the epo and the rest from tesco.

i took 2 epo and 2 ac morning and evening so 4 a day in total.

a folic acid and B6 in the morning.

Hi Worzel congratulation on bfp. I have been thinking about trying ac. I had ivf in the summer which didnt work and all the drug I took have made my cycle go from 29 day to 35 ish day! I am ov they did a blood test last month to check but not till day 20 ish. What strength were the ac and epo you took? Thanks and good luck with the pg.

Well I've been to GP who said I need to go for an ultrasound scan to check for PCOS and have a blood test for ovulatory function.
He also told me from last thyroid blood test that my medication is ever so slightly high but fine and cholesterol borderline! I never even thought about having bad cholesterol - I still link it to overweight people even though I know anyone can have it. Also low on Iron so lots of spinach for me then - think I might stick to supplements thanks very much!

So, going for blood test tomorrow and will book my scan while I'm there. Hopefully wont have to wait too long for the scan.

Just wondered; I came off the pill (dianette) about 4 months ago and no period yet. Just wondered if you would recommend taking Agnus Cactus to see if it regulates the cycle. HAve taken EPO - no luck.

I wouldn't recommend that you dive straight into Agnus Castus - as your cycle doesn't need regulating as such it needs kick starting and I don't think AC will help you there.

I know some people swear by AC but when I used it, it buggered up my cycle no end.

hi i been tryin to conceive for 3 years! went to health food shop was given 400mg agnus castus (2 a day) l.arginine (1 a day) and vitamin c (1 a day) i took this on the first day of my period 18/05/2011 for 16 days only (my cylces were 31/32/34 days) but average of 32 (monitored over a year) then restarted herbals on the 16/06/2011 for 16 days (until mid-cycle) and expected period on the 17/07/2011 and had not come, i tested positive 19/07/2011. u cannot take agnus castus continuosly as it may harm ur baby if u do conceive. my periods were a little irregular and no idea if i were ovulating obviously was agnus castus helped us u only take up to ur expected ovulation which is around for 32 day month=16 days, 28 day month=14 days and so on. i hope this does help u ladies out there tryin to conceive good luck xx

I have a regular period every 28 days but I spot most of the way through this then have a proper 4 day bleed. I’m Ttc and would like to try AC when should I take it as seen most people stop there fertile week?

I'm halfway trough my cycle, my boobs sore started these 2 weeks ago. Definitely not pregnant, took these as having bad pms problems.
