Progesterone level is 35.8 - what does that mean?

Had a call from the receptionist at my Heath centre today. She advised my gp is on leave but has been asked to advise my blood tests at cd23 (21 was a weekend so closed) have come back saying the progesterone level is 35.8.

What does that actually mean? Is that good? The receptionist couldn't help and other gp doesn't need to speak to me as happy....

Can anyone shed any light?

Sorry should have added - I ovulated at CD19 and bloods taken at CD23.... I'm guessing this confirms I have successfully ovulated?

21 day bloods are usually based on a 28 day cycle so they are taken 7 days before an expected period. Assuming a 14 day luteal phase I would expect your “21 day bloods” to be 7 days after you ovulated/7days before expected period. So CD26 ish. I think that is still a fair level though.

@Haiyaa yes, I did question that to my gp but she said it would be fine, my cycles are around 28 - 33 days, just varies. She said any problems I would be brought back in to repeat the blood test, but she's happy...

I had mine tested at cd22 and mine was 67. But my fertility consultant told me anything above 30 indicates successful ovulation so I would think yours is absolutely fine!

@Moominmiss thank you :) just relieved that I am ovulating :)
