Welcome back to the bus where anything goes, hop aboard, tell us about you & we’ll be here for you (there’s a song in there somewhere!).

This bus has a growing bunch of gorgeous black and white springy pups on board, tortoises & 2 feisty little kittens so bring your pets and pictures are obligatory 🤗.

We’ve got TTC happening in many different forms, shagging conventionally, unconventionally, with the help of scientific intervention, IUI/ICSI/Clomid/IVF & even just watching from the top of the bus 👀. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been trying for days, weeks, months or like some of us we’ve been around each other for so long we can’t bear to leave, nothing is TMI and there’s never a silly question...

Hell we KNOW TTC is tough, lots of us have had heart ache & are chasing 🌈so we are there for each other, as well as trying to have laughs along the way 🥰☺️

Oh and we like an embarrassing story to get your ticket for entry please!

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens
& minstermusings on insta - some of our ladies have made special anonymous accounts so we can link up via me 🥰
If you want to sign up & get updates please do, please note your username if you comment shows up to others so maybe make it anonymous I won’t be offended 😂🤣(unless you are mean)

Monsoon here as well @larrythelizard it's horrendous & just toddler & I (DH gone clay shooting but he was able to take the dogs thank god) I like your idea of putting TTC into the routine tick it off the list! Let's hope you were covered over whenever OV was

@DOB78 I used to live the les mills actual classes at the gym they are great, I'm sure you are doing fab with them so keep going! Come on peak too! 🤞🏻

@Kirky658 I can't think of anything worse than a dog in the bed, DH is bad enough 🤣but lots of my friends do, our dogs have never been allowed upstairs & we have stopped them coming on the sofa with us too (don't feel too sorry for them they have access to another dog sofa in the hall & cockapoo loves to curl up on my rocking chair!) however this morning DS was on our bed after getting up & was shouting at DH as he was trying to cuddle me saying "daddy GET OFF MUMMY!" Yes daddy, we are on a sex ban, bugger off 🤣😂

Monsoon here too, what a day to have your hair done, it’s supposed to stop in the afternoon and better does as we are visiting an open castle

Vil10 · 08/05/2021 08:35

@Crazydoglady123 happy transfer day wooo🥳❤️

I typed out a massive message last night and thought I'd sent it, come on this morning and it's not there, how bloody annoying!!

@Kirky658 it's a joke!! We have no idea what we can do now because Mexico is amber so Tui are still flying, even though the government website says you shouldn't be going to amber list countries for leisure reasons, but the next review is on the 7th June, we only have until 14 days before our holiday to change it to somewhere else, which would be the 3rd!! So how can we change it to somewhere else when the review/update of new countries won't be announced until 4 days later!!! Because we don't want to go to any of the ones on the green list currently!

Disgusting day here today, we're supposed to be out for my dads birthday tonight, obviously outside, in a marquee😩🌧

Kirky658 · 08/05/2021 08:52

@dob78 the doctor didn't mention I had tos top but I don't feel. Comfortable with it now after that. My dad said if he sees me running past his house again I'll have to sprint as he will be chasing me lol

@larrythelizard @lucyrp yeah think I'm gonna give swimming a go. I'm not the best swimmer but anythings better than nothing! DH has said he will come with me as well. We are going baby clothes shopping later so might look for a maternity swimming cossie 😍

@vil10 it's just ridiculous. I'd give tui a few days to be honest to finalise their policy and what they're going to do, as they should let you amend it at least really. I know with our company that's our plan as none of our destinations are yet on the list. X

Ltay2 · 08/05/2021 09:01

Wow so much to catch up on! Have only got up to Monday so far have I missed any big updates?

Not such great news from me, although positive in some ways that we have answers now. Poor baby has been vomiting since birth with every feed but it's got worse in the last few weeks and this week he put no weight on. We got referred to children's assessment unit by the health visitor and have been in hospital since Thursday afternoon, now on the children's ward. He had an ultrasound scan yesterday which has confirmed pyloric stenosis (my brother had this as baby too so not hugely surprised) and so he has been nil by mouth since 11am yesterday and we are now waiting for a bed space to become available at Manchester children's hospital so that he can have surgery to correct the pylorus opening (the valve from his stomach to his intestine is too narrow and so his stomach can't empty itself properly and so it is forced back up as vomit) hoping to get transferred at some point today but won't know when they will operate until we get there. I feel so sorry for him getting poked and prodded but so glad that we finally have an answer and no longer being fobbed off with colic/reflux and being told that he will just grow out of it. He's on an NG tube to drain the contents of his stomach, most importantly to drain off the bile to keep the acidity levels under control and it's being replaced by glucose solution on an IV line along with saline fluids to prevent him becoming dehydrated. Poor sausage is so exhausted he cries for a few minutes when he realises how hungry he is then is straight back to sleep, with the help of sucrose liquid tabs squirted every now and again into his mouth to keep him a little bit satisfied, his white noise cloud, dummy and a head massage ❤️

Dollybird89 · 08/05/2021 09:08

@larrythelizard I totally felt the pain of the squats last night.. DTD and had the most epic time... But was restricted to only doggy position 🤣🤣 I dunno about lake spermo tho... Felt like I got hit by a spermy tsunami!

Katao · 08/05/2021 09:13

Oh @Ltay2 your poor little maneen! I hope things move efficiently and he is sorted soon. At least the problem is identified and being fixed. Hope you are all home and content soon and that he thrives after the op x

Kirky658 · 08/05/2021 09:13

@ltay2 oh bless him, poor little man. I hope you can get him the treatment be needs as soon as possible ❤️ what a brave little boy xx

2020mission · 08/05/2021 09:16

Aww @Ltay2 that's such a shame but glad he's getting surgery to help and hopefully he'll be on the mend soon. He looks so cute in that photo 💙

Hope the transfer goes smoothly @Crazydoglady123 😃

Miserable weather up in Scotland too... no surprise!

@Vil10 gutted for you about Mexico I scanned the list and saw most of them are islands that no one would typically go to for a holiday 😑 it's never easy

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/05/2021 10:06

@Ltay2 aww your poor baby but so glad he's getting it sorted soon! How are you feeling?
@Vil10 gutted about Mexico hun, I was looking through to see if it made it on!
@Crazydoglady123 happy transfer day, hope all goes well 💕

DKDK123 · 08/05/2021 10:13

@Amy00 I've been referred to the fertility clinic for a few months now but they're only interested in the length of time we've been trying for not the CPs. All of mine ended between 4 1/2 - 5 1/2weeks and they in not so many words said that unless it reaches the 6week mark where it can be seen on a scan then it's discounted.....she did frame it nicer than that but that was the jist of it! I suppose for them CPs are so common and in the medical eyes just a bunch of cells that didn't work, but for someone ttc from the moment you get those 2 lines it's more than just a bunch of cells you already have hopes and dreams for the baby that those cells are about to turn into.
6dpo mid afternoon, you POAS rebel you 😂 (ICs are so tempting as you have so many of them, Ive been known to POAS half way thru my period some times just to check its not one of those pregnancies where you still get a period 🙈😂)

Did you have your nice glass of wine last night @Franklydear?

@notyetamumbuttrying dont cancel your trip for fear of having to tell. You don't need to make a big announcement to the whole group just if it comes to it and someone questions you can tell them individually. You'll probably find you feel a big relief after they know especially as you've known them for years as they'll be such a good support system to you. It took me about a year and a half in before I finally told my closest friends about our journey and they've been so supportive I wish I'd done it much sooner!

Welcome to the bus @Jam291 😊

@DOB78 I'm so like you I've given up so many times till but you've summed it up perfectly it's all those 3 Hs fault that we get back on it 🤣

@Kirky658 glad to hear all is ok with bubs and well done you for keeping at the running for so long into it!

@Dollybird89 I forgot you were doing the squat challenge, go you! 💪 Keep us up to date with how you're getting on and we can keep you motivated on the days where your legs are on fire.

Happy transfer day @Crazydoglady123! 🥳 Hope all goes well, totally rooting for you! 🤞

@Vil10 how frustrating on the holiday front! 😣

@Ltay2 you guys must be so exhausted and worried but glad they've finally gotten to the bottom of it and hopefully things will start to improve soon. Must be so scary knowing your wee bubs is getting operated on but we'll be here for a virtual hand hold and hopefully you'll be back giving him cuddles at home soon.

DKDK123 · 08/05/2021 10:22

I still find it easier to type replies using the Web page but I've just noticed when I look at the app all my replies mush into the one big messy paragraph .......I'm not that bad honestly, its set out so much better on the browser with gaps between them! 😂

Minster2012 · 08/05/2021 10:26

@Ltay2 awww poor wee man but glad you found it and let's hope there's a bed soon 🤞🏻😘all the love

@Dollybird89 spermy tsunami 🤣😂that's level up stuff! It's like a bloody tsunami outside here today, it's a day for curling up and hibernating 😳and doing rainy day inside activities

@2020mission scotland, rainy??? Noooo I think Yorkshire is gonna get flooded away

@Vil10 that's so annoying I hope Tui confirm things soon for you so you can get sorted

OP posts:
Ltay2 · 08/05/2021 10:30

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm fine actually, glad it's now getting sorted and I'm not getting fobbed off anymore. Not quite hit me yet that he's actually going to be having surgery when he's so tiny but I know it's what needs to be done to make him better so maybe that's why I'm not worrying about it!

We're on our way to Manchester now in the ambulance 🙌🏼

Vil10 · 08/05/2021 10:30

@Kirky658 it really is! How does it affect you? I bet it's so frustrating!! Yeah definitely, we're going to ring mid week and see what they can do, to be honest I'd rather them just give us a full refund, but I doubt that will happen x

@Ltay2 your poor boy!! Bless him! Glad it's been identified what's wrong with him though and hopefully he'll be absolutely fine after his op!x

@notyetamumbuttrying typical isn't it, we booked it a year ago too thinking all would be fine😂

@2020mission thats what I thought, I'd never even heard of some of the places😂

@DKDK123 never runs smoothly does it! Hope you're feeling better today x

@Minster2012 me too! I just want the money back to be honest, it's a lot of money to not be knowing what's going on with it😂 and we paid £80 pre booking our room at the hotel too so doubt we'll get that back!

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/05/2021 10:34

@DKDK123 thanks for your advice. You're right in that they'll support me. I suppose it's just more ppl knowing that we're doing ivf and asking questions and potentially knowing early doors that I'm pregnant (if it works). 3 of them know that we're heading to ivf but they don't know we've started yet. I've asked to share a room with one of them whose sister has been through it, as I'll know she'll be the most understanding, so I'm gonna tell her. And then if the others see the needle and drugs in the cool bag then so be it I guess! I suppose I'm scared of bringing the mood down as I reckon I'll prob burst into tears 😭 😂
Oh and I've poas after my period before to make sure of the same thing so you're not alone there 😆
I see the gaps on the app, but I'm on an iPhone. I've heard the android app is a bit rubbish. I never use the web browser.
@Ltay2 I'm glad you're ok hun! Good luck xx
@Vil10 maddening isn't it! We're still holding out hope for Santorini in august 🤞🏾
What will you do with the time now? Find somewhere in the uk to go? X

Kirky658 · 08/05/2021 10:41

@vil10 it's most likely we will have to offer amendments. It's a really tricky one because, technically, if the flights are going and our resorts are open, legally we don't have to refund and clients have to claim off their insurance. So we will see how it goes next week!

2alreadywantanother · 08/05/2021 10:46

Morning ladies, horrible wet weather here in Ireland. A day for the jammies 😍
Fw this wkend so will be flat out on DH 🍆 🤣 twice today so far 🤣 why not 🤷‍♀️
@ltay2 ah the poor wee man. Hope he get done relief soon x

Nothing else to report.
Over and out ☯️

bez91 · 08/05/2021 11:20

Oh @Ltay2 I hope everything goes well. I know all too well it's so tough being in hospital with a little one. Hopefully the op will solve everything 💕 anything digestive related they're all too quick to brush off so I'm glad it's getting sorted. My DD had/has a heart defect. When she was little her heart was working so hard she never put any weight on. It's so tough especially when you've got a mother's instinct that something just isn't right. Your gut is always right!

@Vil10 argggh that's super frustrating on the holiday front! Bloodyhell! Are you insured and what not?

@Minster2012 proper Yorkshire man clay pigeon shooting 😆

paintfairy · 08/05/2021 11:28

Awful weather here too! Travel industry isn't looking much better. What a cheerful day!
@Ltay2 oh no. How worrying for you. But at least it's been found and now they can help him. Poor little man.
@notyetamumbuttrying that sounds like a good plan!
@Crazydoglady123 good luck!
@Kirky658 you are mad! I can't run to save my life mind. Definitely slow down.

Crazydoglady123 · 08/05/2021 13:32

@Ltay2 sorry to hear about your poor little man! Hopefully you can finally get it sorted for him now and be on his way to recovery very soon 💙

blackcurrantqueen · 08/05/2021 13:32

@DKDK123 have you looked into referral to the Tommy's RMC? You are within your rights to ask for a referral there from either that clinic or your GP! Long waiting times though
My RMC despite very similar early losses to yours has agreed for progesterone next time...
There is also prof brofens implantation and NK cells clinic you can be seen in privately; and also dr shahata ? I think it is, in London, all who look specifically at early 'biochemical' losses, I have the contact details for the Coventry clinic if you ever want them. They are expensive though hence why we haven't gone for any of it yet!
We are in a very similar boat and what they've said to you is not ok!!

@Ltay2 sorry to hear you're in hospital. Fingers crossed they'll get him fixed really soon, keep strong mama 💕

@Jam291 welcome 😍

@2alreadywantanother joining you in fw! Had a peak smiley this morning, a bit of EWCM this afternoon and a pretty good peak on an IC!

@Crazydoglady123
Good luck for embaby day 🥰💕

Minster2012 · 08/05/2021 13:32

@2alreadywantanother I'm ok thank you, taking one day at a time, trying to not do too much, DH & I had a hood heart 2 heart last night so that was good, what's a pat frog drink?!! Def have some for me & some 🍆too

@bez91 yup he's Yorkshire through & through, when the game shooting season is over (beginning of feb) there's always still clay shooting & stalking 🙄 I shoot too though so can't grumble but not been much after DS

@Ltay2 good luck for DS! Glad you are (likely) there now 🤞🏻

@Kirky658 that sounds like a tricky one, so it would be the customers pulling out which puts it into different realms is that right? @Vil10 hope you get the refund 🤞🏻

@notyetamumbuttrying I think you'll end up telling most & have a good old heart to heart & it will actually be liberating, and lovely, I know what you mean about ppl knowing about preg early so we didn't tell ppl specifically when we were doing the bits so you could always say "very early days this bit can last for months" as a bit of a diverter? Give breathing space?
I've been to santorini & it was glorious

Girls you've had me so emosh this morning 😅 I had happy tears during transfer (and shakey legs!) but I'm sooo happy to confirm I am officially PUPO ☺️ Had my acupuncture before and after and the first one omg so many needles 😬 Our embryos have done amazing. Today we had 3 grade A's and a grade C (which apparently wasn't far off a grade A) with the others hopefully catching up tomorrow. Transfer wise we pushed for two and so have a grade A and the grade C on board. Thank you sooo much for all your support and words of encouragement throughout this process. I don't know where I'd be without you all ❤️
