Easy@Home tests - are they rubbish?

Have been using them for a while. Some tests had false positives (dye running into the indent line), others had evap lines, others were stark white. It's always a bit of a lottery!

How was your experience with them, and when did you have a BFP? I am 11 DPO and still getting BFNs, I feel silly for splashing out on a FRER but not sure Easy@Home can be trusted!

@MakkaPakka84 I find the easy@home ones pretty good, I got a BFP last month (ended in CP) but I found the easy@home ones clearer than the FRER. I think they are abit of a lottery though the ones I ordered this time I have come with completly different branding on them 🤷🏼‍♀️

I used them back in Jan on our first cycle TTC baby number 2 and managed first time. Found them pretty good.

I've been using them for a couple of months now and I'm not sure about them. They are advertised as sensitive but I don't think they are.

Dipped them in same urine as one step strips, and the one step show a clearer line than easy@home. I've only had chemicals and faint lines so can't say how well they pick up hormones further along. At the moment I'm seeing a vvvfaint line on one step and no line on easy@home, can't confirm which one is correct (my frer has the faintest line too but again it's so faint I can't tell if it's really there or not).

I'm thinking of trying Wondfo next but according to the reviews, all strips are a bit iffy! Frer are a lot better unfortunately

ChinChilly · 05/04/2021 13:43

@choccrumpet apparently wondfo and easy@home are the same company. The easy@home ones I’ve got now have got 2 clear indents before they’ve even been dipped in anything...they’re all as bad as eachother i think.

choccrumpet · 05/04/2021 15:19

@ChinChilly thanks for letting me know, I didn't know that! That's frustrating. There don't seem to be any reliable strip tests out there, at least none that I've come across

Hufflepuffsunite · 05/04/2021 15:26

The wondfo ones I had were great - actually first brand to show a bfp and great line progression! I also had the one step ones and they were absolutely crap, as were morrisons own brand - don't rate those at all.

Madeoftea · 05/04/2021 19:41

Got my faint positive on easy@home test on 10dpo, think there would have been a squinter at 9dpo too. They had great line progression and I never had an evap whilst using them. Unfortunately I had a mc but I definitely feel confident continuing to use the tests I have. From the other replies maybe I'll change my mind when I try a new batch.

I rate the opks, but the pregnancy tests are probably not the best. They have two clear shiny indent lines which can leave a shadow/evap. I liked them because they're cheap though 😂

I personally love them when testing early. They show with the same clarity as FRERs for me, however the line progression is slower. I found that there are two different types which are branded differently. I always only order the ovulation sticks and the pregnancy separately, never the OPK + HPT kit (after doing so in the beginning). I find in the kit the tests are thinner and not as reliable as the thicker tests. Goes for both, OPKs and HPTs.
