3 chemical pregnancies and feeling lost

Hi
I am a new poster here and only TTC for the last 5 months. However in that time I’m had 5 chemical pregnancies- one in November, one in January and currently experiencing my third. All 3 times I have gotten a faint positive early test result (before period due- I am a culprit for testing very early from 9/10dpo!!) and this lasted a few days with the line remaining faint. Then around the time of my period I end up having a chemical pregnancy.
I have gotten all bloods taken with my GP and everything looks good. I am only 30 and have no children yet so this is all very new. I am getting referred to a gynaecologist for testing. I am wondering has anyone on here had the same. I am also wondering if this is just a common thing that happens because I test so early; with the first one and second one I convinced myself it was just one of those things but now I’m worried there is something underlying all of this. My husband is fir and healthy but someone suggested getting a sperm DNA fragmentation test done as it may be the sperm that could also be the issue. Feeling very upset and low at the minute and looking for answers 😢
If anyone has any experience of this or preferably any success stories after 3 chemical pregnancies I would love to hear.

Hi OP, I'm sorry for your losses. I've had 4 chemical pregnancies in the past 7 months so feel similar to you. I'm 28 and no health issues. I've got a bicornuate uterus, it means it's heart shaped rather than an upside down pear which was discovered during a recent ultrasound that I asked to be referred for via my GP after so many losses. It shouldn't be the reason for my losses but it could be. You could try get a pelvic ultrasound to make sure everything looks okay and for peace of mind (although not sure mine did that for me!).

It's crap and my GP keeps saying just keep trying, you're young and healthy etc etc but hearing that doesn't really help. We are also waiting for an appointment at the fertility clinic which is with a gynaecologist apparently but I think the wait is a few months due to covid.

So here we are, month 8 ttc and hoping for the best.

I think chemicals are far more common than is reported. Because they happen so early makes me feel a little better (sometimes) as it would be a lot harder to have a loss later on, although I'm not saying these aren't difficult. They have been very much so. I've researched about taking aspiring (75/150mg) from ovulation so this will be my second cycle taking the higher dose and I hope it helps.

I don't have a positive story yet but know you're not alone x

I'm going through a chemical Pregnancy now. This will be my 5th loss, although my previous one I managed to get to 9 weeks before I miscarried. I knew something wasn't right because I had one barely there faint positive and then the next day two negatives. Started spotting brown blood that night and by the early hours it was bright red with lots of tiny little clots and horrendous cramping. I knew as soon as that brown spotting came it was over because that's exactly how my last miscarriage started

Hi @AndreaWC91
I don't have a positive story but just wanted you to know you're not alone. I am currently going through my fourth chemical pregnancy which have all been within the last 5 months, I was prescribed progesterone this time around also and that hasn't helped me - however I have seen many positive stories where this has helped some women in similar situations 🙂
We self referred to a private clinic to get all my bloods checked and all have come back fine. I am currently on the NHS waiting list to be seen at the recurrent miscarriage clinic - I had to push my GP for this as at first they refused to refer me!
We have decided to stop trying for a few months as this last loss has really hit me hard and I need to get my head in the right place before we try again.
Hope you are doing ok? X
