Could I be pregnant?

My period is due tomorrow and I did have unprotected sex once with my partner two days before ovulation according to my Flo app. I have been having cramps, headaches, weeing lots, backache and tired. Although I could just be tired because of the hours I work and the back ache could be linked to work too.
I did a test today but it was negative, could I still be pregnant?

Nope, impossible.

Genevive123 · 18/03/2021 19:46

@MallardtheKing I'm assuming that's sarcastic?

OP it's definitely possible for sure, what test did you use as some aren't very sensitive you see !! X

I find the answers a little insensitive.. OP is just looking for some advice. There's definitely a possibility. Do you know how many days past ovulation you are lovely?

JustAddCoffee91 · 18/03/2021 20:29

Ohh god there is always one isn't there! Or two!
OP is just looking for advice, chill out!
Yeah OP you could still be pregnant even though you are due AF tomorrow, I was a couple of days late with my two before I got a bfp and even then they were barely visible lol

Genevive123 · 18/03/2021 20:33

@Dreamer30 stupid isn't it, no need for it! She's asking a question doesn't need to be ridiculed by it by insensitive people.

I was looking for reassurance as I read all these posts of people getting positives around 10dpo and I'm 14dpo and not even a faint line so was feeling disheartened.
Thank you for the helpful replies everyone 😊 I used Sainsbury's tests

bages1977 · 19/03/2021 00:30

I had a negative 2 days before my period. It was only the day I was due on that I got a positive so definitely possible

Toilenstripes · 19/03/2021 07:40

It really shouldn’t be okay for sexually active people, men and women, to not understand the basics of contraception. Jumping on MN will not provide anyone with anything more than anecdotal information.

firsttimemummy321 · 19/03/2021 07:44

@Toilenstripes I don't think she meant can she be pregnant, not because of the timing of sex I think she meant because the test at 14dpo was negative.

@Maddie2802 I normally use frer as they are the most sensitive which should pick it up by now but it is possible to have a bfp after your period is due

ElleL91 · 19/03/2021 09:22

Urghh why is there so many horrible people on here?

@Maddie2802 has your AF arrived? Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

Yes this is what I meant! Thank you 😃

@toilenstripes I'm a scientist so I understand no contraception = a baby can be made! No need to talk down to me, thanks! I was looking for some reassurance

Thank you 😊 no AF yet but took a cheap amazon test that was negative, I'm going to get a FRER I think. From what I remember I took a few days to get a positive with my first DD

@Toilenstripes there's no need to be rude. I only found out what my most fertile days were when TTC, I wouldn't have needed to know other wise cause I had a coil. How do you U know it's not @Maddie2802 first time TTC? Don't be so quick so assume.

Thank you 😊
I didn't plan my first pregnancy so I'm all new to this really, and I'm just following my flo app which might not be accurate

@Toilenstripes

I will stop being frank when women and men start taking birth control and pregnancy seriously. And the idea that you don’t need to know when you have your most fertile days “cause Ihad a coil” is exactly the kind of behaviour I’m referring to. As we have seen so many times on these threads there is no 100% in birth control, so why wouldn’t you have at least a rough idea of when you are ovulating?

Maddie2802 says she’s a scientist but then admits her first pregnancy wasn’t planned and this all new to her......😩

Judgement much, people like you are why people don't speak out and get help.

I was in university when I got pregnant and I was on the pill, I understand the scientist behind getting pregnant but as we know the body doesn't follow 'rules'. I suggest when people are asking for help and advice you keep your opinions to yourself unless you're going to be helpful. You're just making me feel bad about myself and to gain what? I'm an adult woman who has not had her period yet and a negative test result, science would say if you miss your period you are likely to be pregnant, but from what I know scientifically there are lots of factors at play here. I can here looking for reassurance as I posted previously, or maybe some advice or support which is what this app was designed for.

Thank you to all who were supporting 😊

OP posts:
bages1977 · 19/03/2021 14:43

Take no notice of people who have nothing nice to say. Your question was perfectly reasonable! This is a support network for people who are going through big changes in their life, not somewhere to drag people down.

I too didn't really know much about ovulation until we started trying, why would you? Especially if you've been on contraception that's masked everything for years. Honestly, some people..

Genevive123 · 19/03/2021 14:57

@Toilenstripes you're boring, move on! None of us have time for people like you😂

Toilenstripes · 19/03/2021 15:30

Says you three hours later.....

Genevive123 · 19/03/2021 17:48

@Toilenstripes some of us aren't on our phones 24/7 and are working!
