Feeling really sad

I'm 35, have PCOS and been TTC but my cycles are so long and erratic that I don't even know when I ovulate. This month I really thought I had conceived as I suddenly felt heavier breasts, nausea and all the early pregnancy symptoms. Sad thing is that the tests never came positive and today I've started bleeding. I feel so lost, confused and depressed about this as I'm aching just like many of you to have a child. I don't know what to think anymore.

I don’t have a lot of helpful advice to give in this situation but I just wanted to say that you are not on your own! I completely understand how you are feeling and a lot of us have felt the same. Sending you a hand hold and a hug (screw covid)! You are strong and sending you lots of good wishes for a positive soon xxx

(P.S have you tried using OPK’s? They can help with trying to track ovulation, especially if you supplement with checking your basal temp? And maybe ask your GP to do some initial bloods and a scan to assess what’s going on with this PCOS?)

Thanks @WicketBasket sending you a tight hug back. I just feel like crying but I have to get on with my job. I really felt all the signs of early pregnancy and things I had not experienced before such as the nausea and the sore boobs/getting heavier etc. I knew something had changed inside but looks like it wasn't meant to be. Just trying to understand what has happened, did I have a MC? Not sure about anything as my test never came positive (tried twice). As for the blood check, all that is done and the only thing I've been advised is to lose weight as I'm 90 kgs now and I need to be 80kgs at least or less.

Awww @shininglight16 I know exactly how you feel! I’ve been there myself, desperately in tears at work but trying to keep it all together. I completely get how demoralising and depressing it can be- it’s not a very forgiving journey!

You’re right, it’s especially difficult when you’re having symptoms, completely messes with your mind! I’m not sure what happened if you didn’t have a positive test but maybe you were in the early stages and just not enough hormone to pick up on a test?

Keep going with the weight loss! I know lots of people with PCOS who have had success once they’ve reduced their BMI so maybe that’s all you need :) I’m currently doing the same, lost 3 kilos so far! If I can do it, anyone can :)

Sending you lots and lots of love- I know exactly how you’re feeling as I’ve felt that way myself so please PM me if you need a pick me up or a hand hold xxx

Thank you for being so understanding @WicketBasket. I know my hormones aren't balanced and losing weight would help a lot. That's what I need to focus on but haven't been doing so lately. Now that the weather's getting better I will start exercising more, cycling and all that stuff. I guess the egg and the sperm met but there wasn't enough progesterone or something to support the placenta cos I did have low progesterone in my tests. Doctors refuse to give any medication as of now so I will have to lose weight, been to the fertility clinic as well. Good on you, I hope you manage to lose more kilos!

This means a lot to me - thank you for your positive words and love! I know we'll be blessed soon! I'll PM you so we can chat xox!
