Some loss of fluid post intercourse is entirely normal. I would assure you that this is seminal fluid, certainly not all his sperm.
It is unnecessary to have legs in the air post intercourse and its a myth you have to do this; enough sperm will get to the cervix post ejaculation from where it will not escape.
Am glad you are being referred to a specialist; both of you should be tested in tandem with blood tests and ultrasounds for you and semen analyses (more than one is required)for him initially. Sperms are complicated things and there is much about these that is unknown.
At two years of ttc without success there is likely to be a problem preventing conception with either one or equally both of you. Possible male factor problems must be looked for at the same time you are being tested.
My tips for you are as follows:-
You should both attend the initial appointment with the consultant. Write down anything you want to ask well ahead of time. Do not leave there thinking, "oh I should have asked this".
If you ahve had any previous abdominal surgery mention this. You should both give the cons a full medical history - they should ask you about your menstrual history along with how long it took to conceive your first child.
Make sure you both fully understand why a test is being carried out prior to it being done.
There is absolutely no need to put legs in the air post intercourse.
Do not temp chart or use ovulation predictor kits
