Positive Ovulation Strips

Hi,
I’ve been getting positive ovulation tests for over a week now. Not sure why, since my flo app says I shouldn’t be ovulating anymore.
Is this normal?

My periods are irregular being that I just got off birth control this last September.
The first day of my last period was on January 14th, but I’ve had negative pregnancy tests.

Any advice?

Just to check you have had negative pregnancy tests in the past couple of days?

Check 2 is that by "positive" you mean that the test line is darker or as dark as control line? Dont mean to be patronising but sometimes people think they are positive if there is a 2nd line at all, like a pregnancy test would be.

Opks stay positive for 2 reasons 1) you are pregnant or 2) funny hormone mixes - could be a short term post pill thing but also PCOS can make them positive all the time, which may be possible if your cycles are irregular.

Yes, I've tested for pregnancy about every week or so. Each time it has been negative. My partner and I just started trying at the beginning of March so I am not expecting it to be positive just yet.

Also, yes I've read on that, and the test line is darker than the control line. I've just purchased better ovulation tests from Clear Blue to give me a second opinion.

I have been thinking PCOS could be possible, but how do I ask my doctor to test for PCOS?

@lexxa if your concern for pcos is purely based on the irregular periods then the GP might well dismiss it and tell you to wait until more time has passed as it will be assumed it's due to coming off the pill. If you however have any other pcos symptoms then you can def push for a pcos check - that would include a blood test and an ultrasound usually. It doesn't hurt to call the GP and try your luck!
