So I found out today that I am pregnant. I took a clear blue with the weeks indicator it said 2-3 weeks pregnant.

Trouble is, I slept with two guys. I know, everything bad you think I've said it to myself.

My last period was 05/02/2021 - it lasted for 2ish days. Which is very unlike me.

I'm wondering if the weeks indicator is wrong. And I'm actually further along and that my February period was actually spotting? Has anyone had the weeks indicator be wrong before? - (this would narrow it down to just the one guy.)

If not, I had sex on the 19th with same guy. He didnt do his business in me. By my working out this would have been my most fertile day.

Second, on 22nd. Again he didn't do his business in me. -

Who is more likely to be the father? Tia

The 2-3 weeks indicator is only since conception/ovulation basically. So actually based on your last period you're nearly 6 weeks pregnant. I don't know if that helps at all.

Tbh 19th and 22nd are super close together so it could be either. I am however confused - are you saying neither finished in you?

SnooperTrooper12345 · 13/03/2021 18:56

If your February period wasn't an actual period, you'd be 9 weeks pregnant, so I'd say the February period was a normal period and you're pregnant from either of the other 2 dates.
It's still very possible, especially if it's your most fertile window, that not finishing in you can still result in pregnancy. It only takes 1 sperm.

You'd be better to call your doctors and see if they cab maybe do a blood test.

If not, they will go by your February period until you get to your 12 week scan

Stupidblonde · 13/03/2021 19:24

Thankyou for responding. I meant that they didn't ejaculate in me yeah. I have an early scan booked for tuesday so I'm hoping I might find out a bit more then.
I was having symptoms before I came on in February. But then I bled so didn't think much to it until now.

@Stupidblonde hi lovely I hope you figure it out !! You are still pregnant even though they didn't ejaculate in you?? Xx

Stupidblonde · 14/03/2021 08:02

That's correct, on the 19th & 22nd neither ejaculated in me. That's why I'm thinking / hoping that the 2-3 weeks is wrong on the test and conception happened in January. Any experience of the clear blue being inaccurate?

The withdraw method only has a 15% success rate unfortunately - I appreciate some people swear by it but this was the results of studies.

Gabby82 · 14/03/2021 08:22

If conception happened in January is there only one possible father?

Stupidblonde · 16/03/2021 10:30

@Gabby82 yeah that's correct. I'm going for an early scan today so I'm hoping that's the case.
The second guy was a stupid mistake with an ex. So I'm on good terms with both of them I just want to be sure before I have to tell either

I've worked out that my ovulation day was the 19th. I dont know if they will be able to tell me with 3 days difference in possible conception. But the second guy was after my ovulation day.

Good luck for your scan. If they place you at conceiving around the Feb dates, with both partners not ejaculating inside then it’s going to be far too close to even guess.

Also unless you were temping and charting I don’t think you can reliably place your OV date.

Good luck, I hope for you they date which matched January x

calimommy · 16/03/2021 13:57

Good luck OP! Hopefully they can help you shed some light today.

I think it's 15% failure rate you're thinking of.

Withdrawal isn't the most reliable, but it's more than 15%.

calimommy · 16/03/2021 14:03

@bushhbb no actually haha I just happened to be at a consultant appointment the day before I commented and was idling reading the posters on the wall next to me which detailed contraceptive methods. Withdrawal was down there, at the bottom, as 15% success which I was quite surprised at tbh.

bushhbb · 16/03/2021 14:56

Oh, that is surprising, but I suppose human error (as I'm waiting till the last second) doesn't help

Stupidblonde · 16/03/2021 19:56

Update. So I had an early scan today. And I'm confused!

So I had spotting for 2ish days 5th February.
My ultrasound said I was 5 & half weeks pregnant. If you count back 5 & half weeks that was just after I was spotting. So conception was after I bled.

So have they gone by dating my last period? Or was the baby actually convinced 5 & half weeks ago?!

OP posts:
WalkingMeAway · 16/03/2021 20:05

It means the baby was conceived 3 and a half weeks ago.
So around the time of 20th Feb

WalkingMeAway · 16/03/2021 20:07

Unfortunately I think if you decide to keep the baby you will have to have a DNA test to be sure. It’s just too close to call. Also early scans have wider margins of error. 12w scan will give you a better idea but not 100%.
