One step pregnancy tests

Can anyone give me their opinion on the one step pregnancy tests?

I bought them from eBay but wondering if they’re any good

@Rosegold007 12 DPO today. Af due in 3 days. I've ordered frers which will be delivered today. I'm going to wait to see if af shows up though before testing.

I realise this thread was started last month, but it might help others. I wrote a thread in 2020 about one step tests when I'd had IVF. I new my exact dates and did end up pregnant.

Despite one step saying they can check hCG down to 10iu/ml, I found them incredibly pale and took ages to actually show a pink line. Even when I was 8 weeks pregnant, and had a scan to confirm, they were still very pale. I realise that concentration of urine has an effect too, but even with 1st morning urine, they were pale.

There was an entire batch which were duds. When I was pregnant, it showed negative! I also had false positives when I wasn't pregnant!

I still use them, as I have lots left over. They are cheap and I can do several tests a week, BUT, I'd always use another brand to actually confirm anything.

I just wish I could find my original post about one step from last year, because I still had the batch number and expiry for the dud batches.

@Rosegold007 I don't know what to think, I have some cramping and as soon as it hits around 5pm each day I'm so tired.

However, I had EWCM this morning then what looked like Leukorrhea this afternoon (sorry tmi 🙈) not sure if that is a sign of early pregnancy 🤷🏼‍♀️

There's 100% a downward line in your pic. Are you testing again tomorrow? They arrived today, yeah but I'm going to wait another few days to see if af comes.

@ChattyMum86 That's such a shame but I completely understand your frustration. If I don't get my BFP this month then I'll likely come off the forum for a while as it makes me think about it more! When is af due??

I had cramps all last night and still this AM. Positive OPK and shadow on HPT (One Step so not trusting it!). I may pick up another brand test later. I have a tiny bit of hope left. My AF was due yesterday.

@Rosegold007 one app says tomorrow, one says two days 🤷‍♀️😂 I'm usually bang on 28 days though, so I'd imagine on Tuesday.

Caved in and took a frer. Not sure why I said I'd wait, because I didn't 😂🤷‍♀️
Wasn't true fmu as I had to get up and pick DH up at half 4 this morning.

Saw a line right away but I'm now thinking it must be an indent in the test as it didn't go dark. I've got a banging headache, sore boobs and weird sore stomach, so I reckon af is on her way 🤷‍♀️

@Roo3125 those One Step tests look good. I think that could be the start of a BFP.

@ChattyMum86 you’ve still got plenty of time for those lines to progress. Do you have any other symptoms?

It is such a rollercoaster - and one that only we (those in this situation) can understand. I feel sorry for my other half having to put up with my errors behaviour at this time of my cycle 🤣

I’ve had cramps all day - they started in the night last night and I barely slept. Feel exhausted but can’t sleep. My boobs are sore as per normal before AF but I’ve never had AF type cramps and not start bleeding... will keep you posted.

@Rosegold007 I'm in exactly the same boat this evening. Boobs feel massive - so sore, I'm bloated and have had cramps throughout the day which have came to nothing. Normally I get af right away when I have cramps.

I caved and took a frer this morning but it wasn't fmu. Could absolutely swear I saw a line almost immediately but it never got any darker. Af either due tomorrow or Tuesday, so will just have to wait and see. I was so hopeful but now with the cramps just feel blegh!

@Roo3125 I can see something super faint! I did a couple of FRERs last week and couldn’t see a thing so fingers crossed you’ve got something there.

It’s so hard isn’t it. I’ve stared at so many tests I don’t know if I’m imagining things or there is actually something there!

Yeah, this will be my first. We were due to get married last year but postponed till this July. Just can't wait anymore for a baby and I'm impatient 😂

How about yourself? How long have you been ttc?

My sister conceived first and second go with her two, so I think I have unrealistic expectations. She also had two half hour labours 🤷‍♀️😂

@Roo3125 lots of people have taken the same approach re weddings and babies! I don’t blame you.

It’s crazy how it varies for people - some don’t even need to try, and others pour blood, sweat and tears into conceiving.

We’ve been trying for about a year. I had an early miscarriage last September which was sad and made me want this even more. Still feeling hopeful and clinging on to patience!

Still no AF for me today. I’m now three days late and just shadows on tests which I think are I dents and evaps. My temp dipped a little this AM and I have a headache so wondering if my period will show soon...

@Rosegold007 I'm so sorry to hear about your mc, that must have been awful for you, especially during lockdown. I hope you are doing ok?

I just want to click my fingers and be pregnant. It's crazy how much it can differ but I truly believe that our babies will come along.

So, this morning I have no cramps just sore boobs again. Caved (common theme here) and took my other frer. The second line has got darker but still faint for the amount of dpo I thought I was.

Second line is darker than yesterday's, easier to take a pic of but I'm supposed to be due af tomorrow?

The only thing I can think is that I had ewcm a few days after my positive OPK, so perhaps ovulation was later than I expected? 🙏 What do you think?

I'm glad you're doing ok. It must be such a hard thing. I pray that your next pregnancy will be soon and will be healthy.
