We seem to be having a good month as a thread!

My CD16 almost ovulation didn’t happen. Body tried clearly and didn’t make it 🙃. I think ovulation was actually yesterday as I got my peak on Saturday and had a low temp on Sunday with it going up today. I do normally ovulate around cd22 so soy didn’t really make much of a difference ( only 2 days but I guess that’s better than nothing!)

Just catching up with messages as been super busy with work and looking for a new house. CD9 for me. Should be going for thyroid panel test on day 3 of my next period and they are also testing fertility hormones and other various things then I can start my thyroid medication. Let’s see if my body ovulated this month :/

@Kay00 here's to the milk chocolate wins! Thrilled for you. Fair play on managing the restrictive diet. Can't be easy especially with the ups and downs of TTC.

@Cams50 I rarely cry so think I just let it build up this month. I'm all about the AF treats though. Baths, relaxation of the healthy diet for a few days and no pressure of any kind to be productive for a couple days.

@Juno231 sorry about cycle 16 and work being a stress. Hope you're doing ok x great to hear of cheaper IVF options to have in the back pocket. Think I read some people go to Spain either.

Morning ladies. I spoke with my doctor this morning. She privately referred me to the Gastroenterologist and Dietician... but not to the fertility clinic ! She said me not ovulating is probably caused by stress and she wants to take 'one step at a time' - Urgh!

I wouldn't mind if I wasn't actually stressed!! Also... why say you would refer me, just to dash my hopes ??

At least I will be seen quickly my the private Gasto and Dietitian... and if I don't ovulate on this cycle then I might pay to get private fertility treatment too.

I might go out and buy myself a chocolate Easter egg just to cheer myself up - haha!

Genuinely, I have been through some pretty stressful times in my life, but working from home, walking the dogs twice a day and focusing on relaxing and DIY which trying to conceive a baby is not one of them

@Kat668 Hi 🙋🏼‍♀️ my periods were really light when I stopped taking the pill I noticed they got heavier at the 6 month mark. I was lucky and my cycles popped back into a regular pattern straight away.

@Moocher90 great news about your tests, the ball is finally rolling yay!

@Kay00 I’m not sure what to say, I feel gutted for you! I really hate the whole stress thing GPs hide behind do they really think the fact that people are asking for help and are not getting it is not more stressful? I really have to build myself up to talk to my doctor because they are so dismissive and its so disappointing. I agree with @Robyn101 easter egg chocolate always tastes better, get that easter egg!!!

Thank you for the welcomes I had a really bad night last night, got this real ache in my left arm that just stopped me from being able to sleep. Haven't had the vaccine so it's not that, has anyone else experienced this when coming off the pill? I'm sure it's not that and just a coincidence it fell on the first night without the pill ha!

@Kay00 I'm so sorry to hear they're not being supportive and sending you to the right place :( they nust don't realise they're the ones causing more stress!

@ChinChilly @Kat668 Thank you. I honestly think, if a man had presented with an issue where (for example) his body hadn't produced sperm for 3 months it wouldn't be dismissed as 'stress'.

At least my partners private health care is covering my referral to the Gastro and dietitian, and I should be seen within the next couple of weeks. So if my lack of ovulation, and my stomach issues are due to the chronic inflammation I have been suffering with for 5 years+ or stress I will find out quickly.

I finished day 5 of my Soy Isoflavones last night, which i'm really hoping helps kick start ovulation this time (come on body... we can do this!!) and if it doesn't then i'm going to book to see the fertility clinic privately. No more waiting around.

@Kat668 Sorry, I didn't get a sore arm, does it still hurt?

@kat668 I sometimes get trapped nerves in my arm - maybe google ulnar nerve stretches just in case? They're easy to do! and welcome!

@Kay00 honestly that really cheeses me off. Especially as you're in the 35+ category and have not only been trying long enough to be referred but you can tell you don't ovulate! I'd honestly be tempted to try a different GP at the clinic if possible to get that referral?

CD4 here and nothing to report really. Got another 6-7 days to go until FW.

Hi ladies! Just wanted to check this ovulation kit result with you, if this was a pregnant test it'd be a whole other story! Haha but does this mean it was negative? Ovulation day is today according to both cycle tracking apps

@Melissaq94 yes that's a negative for now - looks like you're close though! Test again this afternoon just in case :)

@Kay00 oh I 100% agree, it's so unfair that women are always told it's stress. Hopefully these meetings help at least!
Yeah it still hurts and it's moved up to my shoulder and neck now I just remember seeing in the coming off cerelle tread that some had muscle aches so wondered! But I'm sure it's not ha ha.

@Juno231 yeah I think it probably is a trapped nerve! I do get them fairly often, just never had it in my forearm before. Thank you!

@Gracie2021 @Robyn101 temp is on the way up! Only one more day and I can feel safe that I’ve actually ovulated 😂.

Pineapple and pomegranate juice at the ready. Annoyingly OH loves pomegranate juice so keeps drinking it all 😂. Hates grapefruits so I’m safe with that part

@Kay00 your absolutely right, alot of the women’s reproductive system is just disregarded as stress! If you afford to go private I would say go for it! If my GP is not forthcoming with my thyroid issue I’m going to research going private.

@Melissaq94 it’s not quite there yet but you’re definitely not far off, keep testing!

@Sperr I’ve never tried to pomegranate juice thing, I saw somewhere that all the antioxidants are removed when it’s juiced? I couldn’t be bothered to look into it but it you like the taste then I guess theres no harm and to be fair the grapefruit juice worked for me so maybe the pommi juice does too!

@Kat668 I’ve never had any aches and pains coming off the pill but I do think I had a pretty easy ride when i stopped it.

I’m feelint strangley energised the last few days maybe my super dose of vitamin D is kicking in. My RHR is the lowest its been for a long time but I have been making an effort to eat better and do more steps, I’ve been getting 17-24k each day for the last 2 weeks so it’s probably a combination of it all!

@Kay00 Sorry for the frustration with your doctor. I hate the usual 'try and be less stressed' responses!

@Melissaq94 Def keep trying over the next couple of days. I found my apps to be really out of sync and move my O date all over the place. I think they start off with 'normal' dates then move them (I'm far from normal 🤣)

@Sperr sounds like you need a secret stash of Pomegranate juice!!

@ChinChilly Well done on all the steps!! I'm being shamefully bad at the moment. I just wish the weather would brighten up a bit!!

CD30 for me an dark OPK lines again! And my temp dropped a little this morning. So I'm hoping I've got another chance today, as tried DTD last night but didn't 'work'!! 😫

@MissC07 those are some good dark lines there! Definitely an LH surge. Better DTD today!

@Melissaq94 that is a negative so test again later. You might ovulate a bit later than expected. For instance, I have been ovulation around CD16 but my last one happened at CD19 so later than what was predicted.

@Kay00 how annoying! It's ridiculous it is passed off as stress. I had the same experience the first time I spoke to a gp when I was having 75 day cycles. She just said that even though I don't realise it I am probably very stressed with covid etc etc. compete bullshit as I wasn't stressed at all! I was so frustrated so went to another gp who was so kind and considerate and started running lots of tests. I would definitely try another gp or go private if you can!

@Melissaq94 as others said looks nearly positive. Test again this afternoon and it might be positive then!

@MissC07 lots of strong lines! Today might be the day! 🤞

I am on the 3rd day of flashing smileys today, I had 4 last time before peak so hopefully will get peak in the next couple of days.

Thank you all! Just re tested its more or less the same if not slightly lighter! I'm working 2-10 so I'll do one tonight when I'm home, don't fancy taking my pee cup to work with me to dip there 😂

@Melissaq94 don't worry if it's a bit lighter - that could just be because it's not diluted. Ohh and apparently pros pee straight into the opk sachet but I'd just wee on my hands if I tried 😅

@Juno231 😂😂😂 omg same! I wasn't sure if you can wee straight on them would you just hold it upside down and aim for the tip? 😂😂😂
