Good evening all.... So this be my longest post to date ahah so much to catch up on and I did my best but lost momentum with the tagging so I apologise for those I've missed.
Firstly I just want to put it out there for those like me but I havnt done a scrap of exercise and I don't plan on right now because I don't have the headspace or inclination, and that's really OK lol... So just wanted to put that out there incase anyone needed to hear it. You do you, embrace your inner potato 🥔 as @dollybird89 said haha
@dkdk123 I'm only just catching up with the conversation from yesterday and I know the conversation has moved on but I just wanted to say (also for anyone else who experiences this fatphobic attitude/approach) that I'm so sorry the Dr made you feel so shit about your weight... and weight loss being your "treatment" it's unfortunately a really common "treatment" and awful that she didnt look into anything ralated to your CPs and advised weight loss. That's not a treatment, it's a cop out. Honestly, there are some things that are linked with weight that can effect fertility as we know like PCOS or underactive thyroid and loosing weight can help with those conditions but it's the conditions that cause the issues with hormones and therefore fertility... And yes if someone eats a shocking due with no nutrition then someone may be lacking essential nutrition for fertility but weightloss isn't the answer there either - a healthy balanced diet & some multivitamins is the solution. Weight is not solely the cause of fertility troubles. Just remember this is not your fault. And I can only apologise on behalf of the medical profession that you were made to feel lesser because you carry extra weight.
That being said there's nothing wrong with wanting to loose weight & be healthier (I mean it's literally my job & vocation to help people with this) but I believe passionately that you can still benefit from exercise & a good diet irrespective of the impact on your weight. If you introduce healthy habits into your life you will benefit BUT it doesn't always result in weight loss... However you will likely see lower cholesterol, less insulin resistance, steadier blood glucose levels, improved fitness, lower blood pressure, better skin & hair, better mental health etc. I firmly believe weight does not define your worth or wellbeing - not your fertility!!!
Okay sorry rant over... 🙈 Anyway, if you're interested (and anyone else for that matter) There are some great communities on social media to support bigger people who want to get pregnant... On Facebook and Instagram look for Fat Postive Fertility and there's lots of good stuff in there to make you feel better. The Instagram handle is on the photo I've uploaded too 💕 we got this girls!!!
@cathertinettc aahhhh gorgeous twin girls! I remember Dipsy announcing twins in the pregnancy group in the summer 👶🏻👶🏻 huge congratulations @dipsy77 💕
@DJmum83 Bumps & Burpees page on Instagram has some great pregnancy work outs for all levels, all saved on their page. Drop me a message on Instagram if you're on there (I don't know who's added me all together haha) and I'll share it with you. If not, she has a book out now too so search it on Amazon. 👍🏻
@gem176 glad your scan went well and baby is doing well 🥰 and you & @minster2012 's fire loving children may end up being a fire fighters?! My dad used to LOVE fire when he was little and was a fireman his whole career🔥he was also born on bonfire night so I think it was written in the stars haha
@gensola I followed the fast800 for 5 weeks before my wedding dress fitting and lost 13lbs... It was very effective and I saw quick results for me but jesus christ it was hard. Really fucking hard. Lots of planning, prepping & calorie counting and ALWAYS ready for my next meal (800 calories is mot alot of food)... It wasn't a long term plan for me BUT it was effective on the short term.
@minster2012 my birthday is next Thursday 4th March... Hopefully my 31st will be better than my 30th as I was poorly in bed with covid & coughing up a lung 🙈
@inkypaper yes all week and I cannot wait. I'm looking forward to making my sisters birthday cake this week, I'll share with you all the final photo... So I'm a twin but we have different birthdays (born either side of midnight) so we have double the celebrations & double the cake!!!
@dkdk123 so good to hear your and DH have made some big decisions your both happy & excited about... I can sense you're so at peace with this decision even through your writing. Starting and growing a family isn't what any us thought would be but after so many early losses & when there's so much love to give, growing a family through the adoption is extra special 🥰
@2alreadywantanother heeeeyyy nice to see you again 👋🏻 welcome back. Glad you're in a better place & chasing that rainbow 🌈
@minster2012 with regards to things to watch, if you have Disney+ they've jusg laughed Star within their app which has adult stuff and there lots of good series to watch including Desperate Housewives, Revenge, Ugly Betty, Brothers & Sisters, Lie to Me, Prison Break, 24.... So many. Personally I'm starting with Brothers & Sisters 😄
And that's me done for now.... Phew!!!
