Has anyone fallen pregnant after the Covid vaccine?

Hi,

I’ve been offered the vaccine. I actually had Covid last month, so am wary of having the vaccine so soon, plus i’m awaiting embryo transfer in Cyprus (As soon as restrictions lift here and there)

I’m really torn. I keep reading about a spike protein in the vaccine and the body potentially attacking the placenta if you become pregnant....

I’d usually jump at the chance of the vaccine, but with IVF pending I just feel as though we have no idea yet as to whether the vaccine impacts IVF success rates.

So, anyone fallen pregnant naturally or via IVF since having the vaccine?

@Purpleismyfavourite @jdr1234 @Starshapeddreams thank you so much for sharing your experiences, I’m scheduled for my vaccine next week and have been nervous about it since I had a recent pregnancy loss I wanna TTC as soon as possible. Keep us posted! Stories like yours reassure many hesitant women out there!

jdr1234 · 15/04/2021 16:10

Just an update and I’m now just over 7 weeks, had a scan today and all is well. It’s still early days but so far all ok...

Sub12 · 16/04/2021 16:17

A family friend told me yesterday that her daughter had the vaccine back in February and had a positive pregnancy test two weeks after the first dose. She’s a pharmacist and in the medical research field and went ahead and got the second dose. She’s 11 weeks now and all good.

@Purpleismyfavourite @Starshapeddreams @Whereland @jdr1234 Hi, hope you’re all doing well? Could I please ask which vaccine you had? Xx

Whereland · 17/04/2021 08:35

I'm good, 9 weeks and had a scan last week. I had Pfizer

jdr1234 · 17/04/2021 08:51

Only 7 + 3 but had a scan a couple of days ago and so far all ok. I have AstraZeneca

Campervan69 · 17/04/2021 08:59

My doctor told me the new advice is to wait 3 months after a positive covid test before having the vaccination.

Magnoliamoment · 22/04/2021 15:24

So reassuring to here some of you are pregnant after your vaccines! Congratulations! Currently TTC and trying to decide whether or not to get mine.. I flip fop back and forth everyday. I wonder why the advice changed from "wait a few months" to "no need to delay" . I would love to feel somewhat protected during pregnancy but my anxiety about the lack of data is high. Hearing other's feelings/ stories are reassuring xx

Starshapeddreams · 22/04/2021 20:33

@Binkyc
I had the Pfizer vaccine (frontline NHS).
I've another scan next week (had an uncooperative baby at my 12week)- hoping to ask for advice then regarding my second dose.

Binkyc · 26/04/2021 17:36

@Starshapeddreams @Whereland @jdr1234 thank you for getting back to me, glad you are all doing well 😊 xx

Pinkheartslovehearts · 31/05/2021 20:22

Hi @Purpleismyfavourite . Did you have your second vaccine in the 12 week period ?

Loops01 · 31/05/2021 23:07

Hi, I got my vaccine cd12 last cycle. Didn't ovulate. Period was late by 8 days. This cycle I've not ovulated and I'm cd20. When I say not ovulated I should state that it's not positive opks. I usually have 28-31 day cycles and ovulate cd15-17 with clear rise in opk with highs and peaks. I track cm too and that didn't change too much. I don't do bbt due to shifts. I am normally pro vaccine but do what you feel is best. Would you feel better getting the vaccine than covid? If so then do that. If you decide you don't want to risk it because you want pregnancy more then don't get it. Its your choice. I wish I never got my first one and I won't be rushing to get the 2nd one. However I have known others who are trying to get it and its had no effect. Everyone is different. Take care and good luck!

Magino · 12/06/2021 20:12

Currently 11 weeks after both vaccines :)

Hdujsjdjdbru · 12/06/2021 20:36

I had my second vaccine and three weeks after it, I conceived.

Praxis · 13/06/2021 07:40

@Purpleismyfavourite I feel the same as you in that I don't feel it's been long enough to have any reliable data. I'm 33, we've been trying for 18 months and I just don't want to add any complications to an already complicated process. I've come to the conclusion that i'll either take the vaccine after a year's worth of data or after baby's born - whichever comes first!

Winniening · 18/02/2022 14:19

@jdr1234 Hi I had very similar timeline in terms of getting vaccinated, I had my booster about 10 days before I ovulated/conveived. I hope everything went well for you?

Glitterygreen · 18/02/2022 14:36

I am. Have had all 3 jabs, including booster in December, which was the same week I ovulated...conceived that month.

jdr1234 · 18/02/2022 14:37

@winniening everything was good! I have a healthy 12 week old!

Winniening · 18/02/2022 17:28

congratulations!!!

Yup,, no babies have been born to mums who have had a covid vaccine. It is all part of the big plan to reduce the world's population.
dementedpixie · 18/02/2022 17:34

@RedPandaMama

I've had my first vaccine last week, all went well - I personally have no plans to get pregnant but they do advise against getting vaccinated if you plan to get pregnant any time in the next 3 months - they asked that in the round of questions. It's mainly because they don't know of the long term effects, I think, so need to be cautious.

Obviously you need to think that's 3 months from the last dose too.

So for example with me, I had my first vaccination 10th February, next one will be approx 12 weeks time, so around 5th May, then I'd be advised not to get pregnant for 3 months from then - so no pregnancies until August at least.

As I said I haven't got any plans to be pregnant, but it basically means for 6 months you shouldn't plan to - going off the NHS advice.

Good luck with your journey whatever you decide. Sounds like you've been through it Flowers

There is no advice that you need to delay pregnancy after the vaccine. Where have you read that?
dementedpixie · 18/02/2022 17:35

Didn't realise this was a zombie thread!

ChristmasAtHogwarts · 18/02/2022 17:38

I was one of the first to receive the vaccine, I’m a nurse. I also give the vaccine (when I’m not on maternity leave!!)
I fell pregnant 2 months after my first vaccine. I have previously had some fertility worries with high FSH and fell pregnant after 12 months with both my older children.
I had my second vaccine at 13 weeks.
I have a beautiful 15 week old.

Nik84 · 18/02/2022 17:47

This is just my experience and may not be connected at all, I am not saying it was caused by the vaccine/COVID. But nobody seemed concerned or wanted to report it so I’m aware there’s little to no data. I had my booster at 4.5 weeks pregnant, caught COVID at 10 weeks pregnant and miscarried a few days later. I think it was just too much in a short space of time x

Imissprosecco · 18/02/2022 17:47

I had the vaccine in May and got pregnant that cycle. Currently 39 weeks and just waiting to pop!
